Heaton Park is just gorgeous. I absolutely loved it! It's so well-kept, with these huge stretches of green that are just perfect for a walk. You have to check out their little animal area, it's like a mini petting zoo with donkeys, peacocks, rabbits, and all sorts of cute birds. It's adorable. The best part for me, though, was seeing the Highland cows. They came right up close to us! It was such an amazing experience. If you're looking for a day out, Heaton Park is a must. It's great for everyone, wheelchair accessible, plenty of places to grab food and drinks, and even has public toilets and lots of parking space.
What a lovely park to visit where the grass stretches out into trees on all sides, covered in frost during the winter! Really nice to see some of the thick-leaved dark green trees and orange ones, benches are scattered around to take a seat for the views. The enclosed field is a strong addition with its areas surrounding the trees, Highland cows staying here is really cool!
Plenty of parking at a reasonable cost. Great fun for adults, teenagers, children and toddlers! Scenic views, a small farm with helpful animals handlers who are happy to answer questions, well-kept grounds, boat rides, decent-sized play areas for children of all ages, a cafe, a resident ice cream van and charcoal pizza options. A good place to enjoy the great outdoors - especially on a sunny day!
The nature was beautiful, but the park is really huge. As tourists, we felt it needed more signs and directions. We only learned about the lake and how far it was after asking, but we ended up spending two hours trying to find it
Love this place. Good for walks and bike rides. Lovely scenery. The fun fair was on when we went. There's a boat lake too and animals. From place to place there are ice cream vans. Will definitely be back here
