Spent the day with my team for work planting trees. Heaton Park is beautiful place to come with family and friends to experience lovely surgery and good for walks. There is local cafe within the grounds and also animals to see. The park is vast and easily covers a couple of miles to walk around and is good for morning walks but also to jog. A lovely and nice place to take kids.

Beautiful well kept park, lots of wildlife, animals and has a kids section with swings, climbing frames etc. The park also boasts a farm area with piglets, goats, alpacas amongst others. There are also w/cs near the cafe (with reasonably-priced food and refreshments). The only thing I don't like is the planned parking charges; the signs are up, but covered for now. This will surely discourage many families from taken their children to enjoy this lovely park!

What a lovely park Heating Park is. Thankfully my partners family live close by that we now don't have to suffer the parking charges that have been introduced. Just a wonderful find for an urban park. Huge, lovely lake, great walks and areas of interest, they put on decent events throughout the year. Well worth a visit if you're around. Great spot for dog walking too.

Great local outing! We went for a very nice walk around the park and the paths were quite quiet. Boating lake playground and animal areas very busy but reasonably well kept and well worth a visit.

Great place to visit any time of the year, there's some great places for the kids to play, explore and see the natural wildlife. Also there's a great cafe too serving hot & cold food and drink. And not forgetting the ice-cream van. Then there's the 18 hole golf course along with a 9 hole pitch and put.
