Really interesting walking amongst the monkeys and a rather nice outdoor environment. There's a very informative talk by one of the keepers on the monkeys and watching them feed is a real education. There are monkeys of all ages as they breed here and their performance through the trees is breathtaking. Must be seen close up. Also there's a good cafe and play area for children near the entrance/exit. There is easy access and plenty of open parking but be aware the road in is a limestone hardcore road and quite rough so slowly, slowly is the best way.

Pleasant walk among the woods and open areas with monkeys crossing your path and in the trees. The walk is about quarter of a mile there are some steep parts to it but it's all really well surfaced and so very accessible for both pushchairs. Pleasant valley bottom with river running through it kids enjoy playing Pooh Sticks lots of hand people on hand to tell you about the monkeys feeding talks every hour. Cafe with nice indoor and outdoor eating area and also a covered area outdoors for families with picnics. Two play Parks one smaller one for the smaller kids and one larger one for the larger kids.

A surprising little gem of a tourist attraction. We went with no knowledge of what to expect for our sons first birthday and it was ideal. Perfect with a pram/pushchair and although I'd sort of expected lots of different monkeys, it was probably really good for our son from a categorisation perspective to see lots of very similar monkeys. Actually they're apes because they don't have tails but who cares?! Good fun and not too dear with an OK cafe to rest and have a cuppa.

I really enjoyed our time there. The cafe is good and my children played on the play parks for a long time. The monkeys themselves are awesome. The staff are friendly and very well informed. The only bit that surprised me was just how steep some of it was (I probably didn't read the info properly) so with the pram it was a bit unnerving. I wouldn't like to have gone on that bit with a wheelchair. The whole family enjoyed the day and we will go back.

It's good as the monkeys come up real close however any closer than the bars and a warden claps them down. £8.50 entry is decent but it's so small inside. In all fairness I think I may have appreciated it more of I took children as there is lots to see and do in that instance.
