Station refurbishment underway bringing Blackburn beyond the 21st Century with a bank of the very latest ticket machins positioned at the entrance to the station and automatic ticket barriers to and from the platforms. A bus ticket machine and time table is situated just outside the station entrance.

Nice new station with heated waiting areas.

It's a bit grim. No customer service desk at night.No toilets (none that I could find) no hot food or drink (there is a Subway but not sure of it's hours)No security (none that I could see)it's very well lit though and is literally up the road from the local bus station.

Great station. Great facilities. Fantastic all round. Love the new look..very impressive. A ticket office on the concourse at the front end of the station would be well received.
