This is the perfect place to taste authentic Ethiopian/Eritrean food. The food was delicious with the right blend of spices and flavour. The wooden decorations mixed with the typical Eritrean and Ethiopian music was fully immersing me into their culture. I want to take particular consideration to the staff members, who made me feel welcomed and comfortable all the time offering me an excellent service. To conclude, their authentic coffee is a must try, which is served beautifully in their so called “jebena”. Also, don’t get tricked from the outside: even though it doesn’t attract you, just be sure that the inside and the food is amazing. Overall, I highly recommend this place especially if you never tried the Ethiopian Eritrean food.
The food here was delicious! I went with my dad and we had the vegan meal for two. It was beautiful and tasted delicious and a very generous portion. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was very nice and authentic. I will definitely come back soon! Great value and delicious food.Food: 5/5
If you want Ethiopian food at its best, then Blue Nile is the only choice! We ordered the Blue Nile special for two and a vegan combination platter. The food tasted absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. The lady serving us was super friendly and kind. The whole restaurant was decorated really nicely as well. Definitely coming back for more
Nice manager, very attentive to you. Food was delicious Ethiopian cuisine is my favourite - the portion was really good as was the price. I tried Ethiopian coffee for the first time today ceremony, the price was actually very good and it was a lovely experience for the family.Food: 5/5
Our first time trying Ethiopian food. We ordered the platter and the tej, of course! It was such a lovely experience getting a taste of many items at once. Great value for money also. Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options on the menu
A hidden gem of Birmingham, this place is amazing in every way. When you see it from outside you think it's a tacky, but the decor is outstanding, the atmosphere is epic and the food is to die for. Reasonably priced as well, honestly a must go to if you in Birmingham. Price is unbelievable, we had starter, mains for 3, cold drinks and hot drinks and desser for little man all just over 60 pounds. Keep it up guys. My only little advise, just upgrade your shop front because it doesn't represent how truly brilliant you are. Vegetarian options: Brilliant
Amazing food, great service, outstanding value. If you have never tried Ethiopian food you have to stop here. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. Portions are so generous we took loads home, even with a sharing plate for 2 between 3!Food: 5/5
Do not, I repeat, do not let the exterior of this place deter you from dining here. Amazing food, very reasonably priced and great staff. Visited here with my wife for afternoon lunch. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We're Londoners and wish this place was closer to home. Definitely recommend
Excellent service , friendly and welcoming staff. The food is authentic and tastes amazing! The atmosphere is very homely. Second time visiting and it’s always super nice. Always go for the vegan platter for 2 and it’s a generous portion. Not only is good value for money, but the service, the atmosphere is superb! Authentic tasty food! Highly recommend!!!
You have successfully captured the ambiance of the establishment; however, subsequent experiences were less than satisfactory. The premises were adequately cleaned, including the bathroom. The culinary offering, while deemed passable for its price point and location, fell short of embodying true Ethiopian cuisine. The fusion was characterized as suboptimal at best and lacked authenticity. It is suggested that measures be taken to refrain from misrepresenting the traditional flavors and techniques of Ethiopian cuisine. While elements of authenticity were observed, the overall execution suggested that corners were being cut in the preparation of the dishes.
