Stayed for one night in November 2017. Well kept wide open field with no limits on where you can pitch. Fire pit was fantastic on a cold evening while we watched the stars. Amazing views in the morning as the sun came up. Small toilet block with handy little honesty shop for those items you might forget.

We have just spent a night in the bell tent which was beautifully presented and lovely and warm. The attention to detail is amazing throughout the site and deserves 5 stars for both atmosphere and presentation. The views are outstanding and some beautiful birds can be spotted in the field close by. The fire pits are great and you can buy logs at the campsite as well as other products at the lovely shop ( helpful if you have forgotten things ) as it has a huge range. Sharon greeted us at the site and has a great knowledge of the surrounding area also nothing is to much trouble. I will look forward to coming again to this beautiful tranquil campsite. Already planning my next visit. Thanks Sharon for a memorable time.

Found this site on UK campsite and planned a two day trip. Was overwhelmed with how lovely the area is even in it's wintry state. Views when clear were rolling hills and farmland. The price reflects the facilities which are basic. I was looking for a place to "almost" wild camp and this place is perfect. No showers in winter but in peak time they have solar showers as well as the glamping experience. There are toilet and washing facilities but as I say this is a back to nature basics kind of experience and not an overpriced commercialised place to take the technology addicts. The owners, Sharon and Ian couldn't have been more helpful and very friendly and welcoming. There are firepits available at no cost which are made with old washing machine drums and lorry/tractor wheel rims, or there are more traditional smaller wood burners provided. The site fees as of 20th January were £10 per night (plus the wood for firepits if desired) I think this is for any unit. I expect the yurts in the summer will be more but I'm a basic camper so didn't ask. I was a little disheartened when it started snowing (in January!?!?..) and decided not to risk getting stuck by cutting it short but come April I will be returning. Overall a very well earned five stars from me.

Fantastic place for a week visiting family. Sharon (the owner) was lovely and was super accommodating. Fire pits provided and bricks for your BBQ. Toilets facilities were always clean and a little shop for those forgotten amenities too. There is no proper shower as yet. I'm told there is a plan for an off grid heated shower in the near future! But solar showers (in a bag) are provided already laying in the sun for use and an inclosed area to shower in peace! Fantastic place definitely recommend!
