Excellent all round. Made to feel very welcome, plenty of choice on the menu. Fantastic range of home made cakes. Great value for money. Will definitely return.

While visiting relatives in Yorkshire we popped into the Retreat Tearoom for a cuppa. This is a little gem! We had fab coffee and scrummy cakes. Will definitely return and will recommend to our vegetarian neighbours. Very courteous staff who were very polite despite the fact that I think it was nearly closing time! Thank you for your patience.

After a stroll round Grassington on a miserable day we piled into the Retreat for lunch and a reviving cuppa. What a delightful time we had. The service was excellent friendly and helpful. The food came quickly and was delicious. Worth more than five stars really!

Taken over by new owners in the last couple of years, you can still rely on this vegetarian eaterie for a snack or bigger meal. There are options for other dietary requirements too, like vegan and gluten free. Really looking forward to the day they manage to make vegan scones which always used to be available here...keeping my fingers crossed!

Comfortable and friendly tearoom/bistro serving vegetarian food so good that the non-veggies in our group were very impressed. We've eaten there a number of times and always enjoyed our visit.
