Really nice hotel, wish I'd found it before! Friendly, welcoming staff, good room, really comfortable bed (best nights sleep I've had in a hotel in a long time). The hotel felt like it had been refurbished in the not too distant past, either that or it's well looked after. Everything was crisp and clean, shiny and fresh and nothing seemed 'tired'. Very relaxing. Good bar and restaurant area. Liked the location too, quiet little village but convenient for bigger towns, motorway, etc. I'd definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, would do well for short trips, not much within walkable distance. The room was nice, but toilet very loud when flushed, it's an old building however, so to be expected. The internet is decent for work/streaming. Bed was big and comfortable, we were in a junior suite. Shower was a little difficult to make work, it wasn't obvious, we had scalding water coming out for a long time before twiddling the knobs in the right way! Breakfast was nice, food quality of cooked was good, continental was average. Service was a bit slow and dull, bit long to replace continental items, considering the amount of staff to people staying. But nice enough overall. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

We had a twin room in the main building with a small balcony. It was necessary to have the lights on continually as there was little natural light but this did not affect the overall experience of our stay, which was very pleasant. The room and en suite was clean tidy and in good decorative order, everything we needed was supplied and complimentary brandy also! The staff were friendly and helpful with all our inquiries. The building was warm and welcoming and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again should I need to be in the area.

This is a great place to hold a meeting. The meeting rooms are great and you are well looked after. Twin rooms in the main building are very good. Doubles in the out buildings are rather small.

Had a lovely weekend at the hotel. Room was very comfortable, dinner was delicious and breakfast was substantial and we had plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. The building is lovely and is situated in a delightful village. I highly recommend a stay here.
