We went for afternoon tea this afternoon. The whole experience was excellent. We were welcomed on arrival and taken to the restaurant. The team were discreet and yet knowledgeable, so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious as was the selection of teas- the chocolate tea was a revelation! Highly recommended. Thank you for having us
The hotel staff were wonderful, very helpful! Our room was good very large and luxurious, and thank you for the unexpected upgrade!. The spa was fantastic, a real treat. I do however regret having food in the evening at the Camellia restaurant as it let our stay down. The service was good but to be totally honest the food was incredibly dissapointing, especially for the price. The meal started with gone-off rose petal butter for our bread, our starters and mains felt very confused, with too many tastes conflicting on one plate. All in all too pricey for what you get but thank you to the lovely staff all the same for our stay.
Overnight spa break for 2 people. - Welcoming and friendly staff on arrival and throughout stay. - Room very clean, modern. TV in the bath. But very hot!, we had to open the window. - spa was very clean. Loads of towels and facilities to choose from - even a plunge pond. treatments were also very nice. - we had brunch for breakfast as we were late for the other opens, portions could be bigger. - yoga teacher was very friendly and approachable. - Dinner = we dined in the Camilla restaurant. Food very rich and indulgent - especially the cabbage. biscoff pudding - I'd come back just for that!. Would I recommend yes!, but can get pricey - £850 for overnight for 2 people. But we all need a treat sometimes!
Absolutely stunning venue! Came here for work and used a function room and found it was the most luxurious place. Well catered for function area with marble floors and grand rooms with beautiful views. Would love to have a spa weekend here some time!
Very nice surroundings & attentive service but I didn't like the food really afternoon tea. We choose a savoury platter & the only thing I really liked was the sausage roll. What I would say is we were the only couple dining & we could hear everything being said by the staff. We asked if we could some sausage roll home along with our left ivers but the chef said no. Apparently there wasn't any left but I don't believe that as we were the only diners & I heard what was actually said. For the money we could of had a nice meal somewhere. An experience but we won't be returning.
Stayed here for a night after visiting the spa with my girlfriend. We got the couples spa treatment and both had the best massage we have ever had. All the staff are very professional and friendly. I could not fault anything really. The food, service and drinks were all amazing. And it’s all set in a beautiful part of the South Downs.
It is just a beautiful place to be. Big spacious room with a lovely hot tub. The staff are ever so friendly. The fields, the location, the building, the amenities...just great! Update...went again for the second time. Enjoyed the experience even more. A lovely spa treatment to end our 2 night stay there...Bliss
An amazing trip! Room was lovely - clean with everything you need and more. There was a little vase in the room in which you could put flowers that you pick yourself from the gardens! Food was beautiful, ate both breakfast & dinner in the Botanica restaurant. We're both vegan and the Botanica restaurant had plenty of choice. Spa was perfect, the outside pool was wonderful. We'll definitely visit again!
We have just returned from a wonderful overnight stay at SL and its the best Spa hotel I have ever been to. The service was impeccable the facilities were amazing. A special thank you to the staff for a couple of surprises that we had given to us as well. Very much appreciated... we can't wait to come back!Rooms: 5/5
What a beautiful hotel! The rooms were huge and elegant, plus the bathroom was bigger than my bedroom at home. The staff are amazing...very friendly and helpful. Add this to the stunning views of the surrounding area and you have the perfect location for a break from reality. Highly recommend this property!Rooms: 5/5
