Bought a car a few months ago. On the day they let me take my time and view the car check the paperwork. Friendly staff and felt no pressure to buy. There was a couple of issues which the dealer said they would sort. Unfortunately within a week or so the gearbox started playing up. Upon inspection by my local BMW specialists they advised that it needs a new transfer box. Berkshire Motor Company paid out straight away for the the work to be carried out. No hassle at all and very swift. After I got my car back there was another issue with engine and this was also quickly rectified and Berkshire paid out straight away. Most of the time with used cars there will be issues etc and when a dealer like this provide excellent after care service it makes all your worries go away. These guys are superb, paid for everything that went wrong within my in-house warranty period and now the car runs perfect. I would definitely buy from this dealer again just purely based on their customer service.
Dishonest advertising Very dishonest advertising. Saying the car /Vauxhall Zafira/ is immaculate inside and out... Been delivered to me as I believed the advert says the truth... The truth is the car all around damaged badly, painted as try to hide it all. Back and side door was damaged, interior was disgustingly dirty and bits missing. Front tyres was worn out so bad, I don't believe there is legal garage put MOT on it. I lost £200 on the delivery... The delivery guy spoken no English but only said I need to be quick to pay as he has train to catch. Didn’t buy a car in the end. One salesman offered me one price, another offered me a different price the next day. One day I was offered a discount as the best price they could offer. The next, when I questioned whether the cam belt had been done, I was offered another price and they were going to state on the warranty that they wouldn’t take the car back if the cam belt snaps. I don’t mind them not knowing about the cam belt but they cannot change the price and change what their warranty covers. I was told their price was for me to go away and change the cam belt, however this was not what the person the day before had said. I was then told, just before leaving for good, that the best price was now the advertised price and nothing else. I won’t be going back there whatsoever. Such a poor customer service experience. To top it off, I was sent out on a test drive with a car that had NO valid MOT. I only found this out after I looked it up while doing my own research. I was assured by the sales man that the car had a valid MOT. Felt completely conned on the second day…. I went back because I wanted to buy the car. So pleased I didn’t.
I purchased a good car from Berkshire Motor Company. The Customer service was second to none. A good fleet of cars and customer support even after the sale of vehicle. Highly recommended for anyone to purchase a honest, trustworthy car. extremely professional at all stages of the sale. Hopefully we can do more business in the future.
Really happy the car and the service! Professional friendly trustworthy - not try hard - dealership. Everything felt very easy and smooth - all cars come with a 3 month warranty too which is reassuring and they are an AA approved dealership. It's early days, I've only had the car for a few days so I'll update here if anything changes but based on communication and my experience over the last week I would highly recommend.
The next MOT after I bought a car from this company, it failed on a rotten door sill. It was only visible from underneath but as soon as I removed the side skirt, that's what you could see, the whole sill was rotten and I am sure they were well aware of it. Mechanic said that no way the car rot that much in a few months. Also, how is that the previous MOT passed clean and the issue wasn't picked up. I think I know why... Walk away from this place, chances are that you buy a rotten car with hidden terminal corrosion.
I bought a little toyota aygo from them today and have to say the service was top quality. They gave us the keys to look the car over and give a test drive without any hassle. Quality service many thanks guys
I was looking for a Kia Ceed and one came up at Berkshire Motor Company, 42 miles away from where I lived. I thought carefully about travelling this far but decided the price was fair. I phoned and made a loose appointment which meant they had to stay later into the evening for me. All was good, I picked up the car the following week, but after a week of driving it around, I noticed it was making a weird sound, almost imperceptible, my partner said it might be an wheel bearing. The driver’s window didn’t go up and down easily, the inner light didn’t come on when the driver’s door opened and the airbag symbol was always on. I looked at my 3 months warranty and it said just for engine and gearbox but I thought I’d contact them. They said no problem, leave the car back to us and they even gave me a courtesy car for the duration of the repairs. Everything was fixed, both rear wheel bearings were replaced as the garage couldn’t be sure which one was noisy and all the other things were fixed/replaced. All at no cost and with a smile. I would thoroughly recommend the chaps at Berkshire Motor Company, they’re great to deal with, reliable and trustworthy and they have a great selection of cars reasonably and fairly priced for every budget. And they’re open weekends too!
Drove 2 hours to view a car with a claimed full service history… that didn’t have a full service history when we got there. Absolute waste of time and money and the staff couldn’t care less. Not even an apology. Half the vehicles on site had flat tyres and looked like they had been sitting for months.
