Traditional English village pub.  A central focus for many villagers.  Cosy, somewhat rustic with roaring log fire in winter.  Recently redecorated.  Has dining room which appears to be well supported.  An unusual feature are the brass plates screwed to the wooden floor of the ba  They commemorate significant events that occurred to locals.  Worth a read if just out of curiosity.   Serves Adams beers from casks, spigot tapped and gravity fed.  A small range of other draught beers  such as Guinness are also available.    Welcoming and worth a visit.

Sunday lunch. Booked lunch on the way up from Devon the day before, and looking forward to it. But goodness, how much better than the anticipation, plus excellent Adnams Southwold. Very happy.
