Went there for a large family feel to celebrate a birthday. There was ample parking for the numerous cars we took to get there and parking is free. Inside it's fairly cramped to begin with. It's an old building with low ceilings, so tall people may have to mind their heads. The bar offers a reasonable drinks menu, however space is limited and it can get easily crowded when busy. The main menu has plenty of choice to suit all palates and they are very accommodating to requests. Some of the prices seem a little high, but don't be put off. The dishes are a good size, well presented and tasty. The service overall was very good, with plenty of advice given if required. Overall the Beefeater is a good place to enjoy a family meal. If you're looking for a quiet meal for two, as a small group to chat, or are very tall, then there are better suited places around.

Would not seat me with a booking at 8pm but was happy to seat people without bookings in front and behind me. Found the main lady had a funny attitude and a very loud and very annoying laugh. Wouldn't come back !!

Amazing food quality and portions, just had one of the best steaks of my life! Lovely atmosphere and calming decor. Really nice and polite staff. Will definitely be returning!

This is our second visit in a few months and the food and service is outstanding. I wish I found the restaurant sooner would he saved a lot of wasted visits to other restaurants! We went a week before Christmas and they were busy but with a smile and a cheer didn't wait long before courses and all came out at the same time (that's a bug bear for me when your eating as a group) well done the wool pack we will be back next year for many more visits.

Been going here for meals since I was about 4. Tonight was the first time it’s ever let me down. Waitress got both orders wrong. No apology though the difference in price was refunded. Prices seem to have gone up significantly in the past few months and yet a noticeable decline in food quality. I think it’s gone from a favourite place locally to eat for me to one to avoid. I’m sure I’ll go back but for now I’m put off.
