Great atmosphere with lovely staff. You couldn’t ask for anything more from a garden centre. And the kids loved the fish, especially the crabs!
Great cream teas! Having just read through previous reviews, it does look like you've picked up the criticism and made improvements; the biggest criticism being grumpy staff! The staff who served us were delightful, thank you. A smile and good manners cost nothing, even when you're extremely busy. I've worked in restaurants and cafés so I do know what I'm talking about!
It's large, has quite a reasonable sized car park. Is a modern building that is clean and well-lit. Apart from all the obvious garden-specific goods, as with many garden centres, this place also offers a multitude of gift, house decor, etc. goods. Prices are on the upper scale of things, but not terribly different from many large 'multi-faceted' garden centres. Reasonably sized cafe offering meals as well as refreshments, varied seating which all seemed clean. Free Wi-Fi, but my experience was that it was dreadfully slow - throttled deliberately rather than lots of customers. Seems quite popular with a certain demographic, and always busy at Christmas.
35 min wait for food to come, then the Kids pizza came very undercooked to the point where cheese hadn’t melted, the kids veg had black parts on it. Kids chicken nuggets were more like rubber chunks. Then one of the cakes were very dry. The other was extremely cold where it had obviously defrosted. Wouldn’t waste my money here again.
After travelling miles to go and see a santa that was unexpectedly closed, we tried out luck at dobbies, mrs clause very kindly squeezed us in which shortened their lunch time! They were so unbelievably kind and made my little boys day! Highly recommended
Lovely garden centre with lots of Christmas bits. We came to use the soft play area and had a lovely time. There are slots available at certain times.
Really nice store with everything you need. We managed to kit our garden out with good quality stuff. The staff there are very helpful, clearly well trained, and a jolly bunch of 'good people' - The management is very good. They clearly care very much about the team in the store and the customers. 5 star, first class!
The food here is really nice and definitely the toasties over all I really enjoyed the food and were about to look at the fish.
Great and well presented. Much like a posh garden centre. Rather expensive but good quality stock. Pity they don't accept the Veterans Defence Discount Card. So take note all military personnel and Veterans.
