Nice piece of fillet steak at an excellent price. No pretensions to fine dining and no snooty staff! Now and again I really enjoy a good steak with oven chips and a pepper sauce along with a decent pint of beer. The staff are friendly and there's a busy atmosphere about the place. The loyalty scheme makes for excellent value too.

Lovely location and clean hotel......but my dining experience was iffy. I waited nearly 40 minutes for a simple meal (only3 people in restaurant) and during that time could tell you the private life of most of the bar staff and waitresses 😂 it was like listening to a soap opera. When the food arrived it was ok, budget menu so didn't expect much, but one thing I will never forget is the taste of the vegetables! If you have accidentally got soapy water in your mouth then you have an idea of how they tasted! I had to go to nearest shop to get something to get rid of the taste.....it was horrible. But hey, it came with entertainment from the staff 😂😂

Shared birthday meal with my family two days ago. I ordered Seafood Pasta, which when it arrived was a small portion and had 2 small pieces of white fish, 2 pieces of salmon and 2 prawns. Upon commenting to the waitress that there was not much seafood - she stated she could get me another one, BUT it came prepacked so would be the same quantiities!! Surprisingly I didn't enjoy it much after that. Four of our party had steaks and they were pleased with those.

This is a pleasant venue, newly refurbished, the staff are good, you get large portion sizes and the food is to a high standard. Never the less, on each occasion I have visited, when it wasn't particularly busy the length of time between ordering and getting food was significantly longer than expected. One was a business lunch and I found myself rushing quickly to get it finished. Had the food arrived within 15 minutes (a fairly simple pasta dish) as opposed to half an hour, then I would have said 5 stars. A great place if you are not in a rush.

Restaurant empty but we were told we had to wait 45 mins for a table. Bizarre. Maybe they only have a limited number of staff. Stayed in premier Inn so took easy option of going here. Wished we had gone into town. Food average.
