came for a lunch date with my best friend for the first time. the food was beautiful and freshly cooked. the staff were brilliant and very attentive. lovely friendly restaurant and very clean facilities. can't wait to take my family to experience cafe 1.Food: 5/5
The atmosphere is very nice. We ordered the flat iron menu which is only available on Tuesday. The steak is tasty and the mac & cheese is well made as well, though the service is a little bit slow.Food: 4/5

Skip it! The service was poor, very pushy and she had no knowledge of menu items or the wine menu. We wanted to order drinks and an appetizer but our server said she needed the entire order right away. We weren't checked on once we got our appetizer or after we received our entree. There are plenty of other options that are wonderful.Food: 3/5
My wife and I caught them on a bad night. Our service was inconsistent, at best. More frustrating for us - we watched three couples arrive after us, but get food service long before us. One of those couples was served dessert before we received our main courses. And we ordered the special. It took about 20 minutes after we finished dessert before we found a member of the wait staff to request our check. We waited another 10 minutes for someone to come by so we could actually pay the bill. Thoroughly frustrated, we walked our bill to the bar to pay. Despite all of the trials and tribulations with service, the food was excellent, and the setting is romantic. It's a beautiful restaurant.

We were recommended to Cafe One from Blair, a local parking enforcer in town. Blair was not mistaken, the food here was absolutely incredible - clean ingredients beautifully prepared. The highlight was a mustardy mac and cheese unlike anything we’ve had before. We highly recommend the burger and steak, both were so tender. The chef knocked it out of the park on the venison carpaccio, the most unique dish we had. The sticky toffee pudding was awesome, truly left us satisfied and wanting to come back again. This is up at the top of our list for our favorite restaurant in Scotland -Traveling Americans
