Friendly staff with a a decent selection of meals available. Children’s play area outside with many benches and a photo opportunity with a large deck chair. Food was great and served quickly but our plates weren’t taken until our desert came out. Overall a good experience and would come back again.
Staff member on the door was rude. Stated we only wanted a drink and didn’t intend on having any food. Was told they were too busy serving those who actually wanted food. If we could find someone wanting to serve us we could stay, but we were better off going elsewhere
Terrible food. Ordered a chicken burger, waited an hour for it. Bun was so stale couldn’t even swallow it. Also was supposed be served with salad and homemade coleslaw - had neither. Sent it back to the kitchen. By the time they sent it back out it had been 1hour 20 mins since we ordered only one adult and one junior meal! I literally couldn’t eat it, chicken was sloppy, bacon undercooked and bun equally stale as the first one, no salad or coleslaw again as they didn’t have any but an hour and 20 mins after I ordered to tell me They did refund the cost of that meal, which was the least they can do given I didn’t eat any of it, but given that they’d wasted most of my evening, I would have expected one of the drinks to be knocked off too.
Why have you stopped doing regular breakfasts, Butlins is already full of buffet breakfasts with little choice for those who don't eat meat, eggs or dairy. They don't need another. What they do need is a decent vegan breakfast. I'm a grumpy bunny if I can't get a hot breakfast, so disappointed
Only ordered scampi and chips Garlic bread and a portion of chips for my boys. My chips were as cold as ice took it back and asked for some fresh chip's. What happened the same chips were on my plate just pinged in the microwave only ate it as I was hungry and couldn't be bothered to take it back again. The garlic bread was soggy as would of been surprising if the seagulls even ate it. Would not recommend at all.and don't even. Get me started on the quality of cider and beer from the sports bar
Only positive I can give for this place is the staff were super friendly and the drinks were good. We had a pretty bad experience regarding the food side of things. Steak was cold and tough, half the mixed grill was missing and my boys always polishes off a lasagne and they didn't even finish theres. Hopefully it gets better as it is a very nice inside but it's a NO and Avoid from me.
Really bad! Obviously had no great expectations but still …. poorly Cooked steak, awful sauce, terrible chips. Kids couldn’t even manage the garlic bread. You’re Better off going to the Burger King
Potion sizes are enormous. I ordered an apple crumble and it was so big it seemed like a whole tree of Apples. Excellent!!!
Tried to ask the staff a question about the allergy advice app and was rudely spoken too and rushed to make an order question was 'why does it say plain ice cream has gluten in it? Was told they couldn't say what we can and can't eat which was not the question we wanted an answer to will not be going back.
Christmas dinner started off well as you can see in picture until the Main meal it was a disgrace. At forty pounds per adult and thirty pounds per child you expect better not something that can only be described as a ready meal and not a very good one. I'm 100% sure if we ever go to butlins again we will never go to the beachcomber for food so disappointed and it ruined our day along with lots of other families judging by the reaction when placed in front of them. I will say however the staff were friendly and welcoming unfortunately the chef was either having a really miserable day with absolutely no idea what he was doing or they didn't have a chef. The food was definitely tinned and frozen, potatoes were a mess turkey looked like and tasted like Bernard Mathews sliced or even cheaper, and the gravy looked like dish water and tasted worse.
