Battersea Park Children's Zoo

About

Battersea Park Children's Zoo is an exciting animal experience that combines a zoo, animal encounters, large well equipped play area, gift shop and café.

Story

Battersea Park Children’s Zoo can be found by the picturesque riverside walk in leafy Battersea Park. It is an exciting animal experience that combines a zoo, animal encounters, large well equipped play area, gift shop and café.

Amongst the animals you can see are cheeky monkeys, noisy otters, leaping lemurs, nosey meerkats and farmyard favourites.

At the weekend and during the school holidays visitors can watch the animals eat at set feeding times; a chance to see the otters dive for their fish or the meerkats come running, tails in the air, for their favourite treat.
Visitors can also take part by helping the friendly animal keepers to feed the farm animals.

The perfect venue for a family outing.

We visited this zoo with family.nnIt is a children's playground with a few beautiful animals in residence.nnIt is a beautiful experience for the family. It is not a large enough zoo.nnIt is kept in a very tidy state of affairs. We went on a very cold day and every time we needed to wash our hands there was warm water.nnEven their restrooms are maintained to a decent enough level of cleanliness.nnThe animals look well looked after.nnWe experienced the otter feeding and loved the commentary about the otter lives.nnAll in all a great couple of hours of playing expe for our little one.nnThey could improve the café.
Paid £90 for silver experience with the little one it was a great day out.nnThe zoo is a little dated but I deeply appreciate the effort made by the staff. It was well worth the hour experience to feed the animals and see behind the scenes. The experience paid for the general tickets also so we made a good day of it.nnJust please close some of the games as we lost some pennies being eaten by the broken machines haha.nn10/10 go for it if you have the money to spend on a great experience for your little one.
Hi, we did the zookeeper experience recently. Me and my 9 year old son who has ADHD. The zoo keepers was friendly and very Informative on what the zoo is trying to achieve with its conservation. We had a great time feeding and learning about the animals we met. Our favourite was the Armadillo. Amongst other exotic animals, we also prepared food and enrichment for the animal. The zoo keepers Eliza, James and Lizzie were all great. Thanks for your time and knowledge. They accommodated us well. Would highly recommend.
Paid £45 for the family ticket, great bargain, and great experience! This is definitely a smaller child focused zoo and the playground is definitely a godsend to drain the kids batteries! Could not recommend more :
Loved this zoo! I visited as a solo adult, and really enjoyed it. Almost all of my favorite zoo animals were represented: meerkats, otters, lemurs, cats, ponies, wallabies, mice, guinea pigs and cute monkeys. I liked that there were very few of animals that I find “boring” in big zoos, so I did not waste my time on anything I don’t like.nAttended two feeding times, and really enjoyed the keeper talks. It’s clear they love the animals a lot, and care very well for them.nVery surprised at the conservation work they do, they are such a tiny zoo but helped bring several species back from near extinction, such as beautiful Bali songbirds, Scottish Wildcat and rare domestic life stock. Really admire them for putting so much effort into this!nIn terms of improvements, the cafe could have a better selection and more staff. Toilets very clean. Zoo well maintained.nThe only animal suggestion would be to get sugar gliders!nOverall, well worth the 14£!
