This is a great Barry’s location. The bathrooms/changing rooms are pristine, airy and well stocked. But the real highlight is the front desk staff who are incredibly friendly. Highly recommend! I would just recommend choosing your spot carefully, as the room has a pillar in the centre which can at times obstruct your view of the coach depending on where you are.
I love it! I was a little bit worried before coming here because I have never done a workout like this before. BUT it was such a great experience! The instructor named Jemma was sooo good! She explained everything before the course started. Sometimes I didn’t know what to do but she and everyone else was so nice and caring that I felt very comfortable. The course is very challenging but super fun. Can‘t recommend enough!
Lucy's class was great as always. I also wanted to give a shoutout to the lady at the reception whose name I bow realise I should have probably asked for who was very kind to me after I was completely spaced out after a hard day. You don't normally get to see this in central London, especially in boutique gyms. Barry's is my happy place.
Nice club with big airy male, anyway changing room. Sound system in the red room can be a little variable and there are floor spots around the corner at the back where you'll struggle to see/ be seen by the instructor some may see this as a positive! Barry's UK founders / co-owners Anya and Sandy have 'residency'-style fixed classes at 08.20 and 09.30 respectively each weekday that are considered essential/iconic by hard-core fans.
Out of the more than 20 Barry's studios across the US and world that I've been to, I can genuinely say the London workouts are some of the toughest/best! Only reason I wouldn't give this studio 5 stars is that the set up in the red room has a lot of columns which leads to obstructed views and not being able to see the trainer on the floor. Avoid floor 13 as it's in the most awakard of settings. Also, unlike in the US where you give your first name to check in, here you have to give your last!
Years of working out here and team never stops to amaze me - just superb! Even look after my dog when I come to work out. Love this place!
The classes are usually treadmill and a floor workout. Social distancing isn't at place on the floors. People stand quite close to each other. The showers are just very poor. Soho branch is way better IMO.
Great workout, room is too dark and hard to see whether the form is correct
Make sure you choose the right trainer! Check website for detailed overview of the each trainer and pick what works for you. Changing areas always very clean albeit crowded. Equipment is cleaned between every class. This studio has newer machines compared to SW1.
Barry's bootcamp is the best workout I have ever tried. The trainers, the staff and the red room are all part of the experience, this place never disappoints!
