Clean room, Friendly staff, nice breakfast

Stayed here the night before our international flight out of Gatwick. It's very quaint, was rather quiet, and quite enjoyable. The fact that the building is so old adds to the atmosphere and experience. I really enjoyed it. Big enough for my husband and myself, but no room for a crib. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about what to do in and around town. They very kindly ordered a taxi for us for the next morning when we checked in, and the taxi was right on time the next morning. Room service was good. The food took a while to prepare, but it wasn't bad. The only negative thing I'd really say is that the chocolate pudding we ordered was rather hard in the middle, so we ended up not eating all of it. But that is literally the only negative comment I have to leave. I would definitely stay here again if given the chance.

I just needed a bed for the night. The price was great, my room was a decent size, everything was clean, I was able to check in at 1:30am and the front door has a cool lion on it. Would definitely stay again.

The room my wife had was very small. Smaller than a box-room. Literally the width of a single bed, plus the door. No room for as much as a bedside table. No fridge. Phone non- functional (It was plugged in all wrong - fixed it). The lady at the front desk was polite and efficient, but the food order for the room was poor. Not recommended.

Very very soft beds, very uncomfortable. Bathroom door only opened part way due to second bed crammed into the room
