Very shabby and tired. Bathroom not clean. However service was great and despite the restaurant looking like somewhere you'd be scared to enter it's fine inside and breakfast was up to the usual standard. Fab location and easy to find. Can't work out whether it's being mothballed or refurbished but something needs to be done!
Stayed overnight for a fancy dress party and was very underwhelmed by this Premier Inn. We’ve stay in them before and this was the poorest. The whole building is very tired and the rambling corridors smelly. A very cold day had left the room freezing and the heating, normally by convector in these hotels wasn’t working. There was a plug in radiator that wasn’t big enough for the size of the room instead so it was chilly all night. As usual in Premiers the bed was fine. The worst part was the fan in the bathroom, so noisy that we just couldn’t stay in it to shower. We wouldn’t return to this hotel.
We stayed at the hotel after attending a wedding nearby. Fairly standard Premier Inn although the outside of the building looks a little run down. Breakfast is served next door but was well worth the short walk with cooked option cooked to order.
Old dilapidated building in need of renovation. Very scruffy outside areas. Cleaning leaves a lot to be desired, although room was OK, bed very comfortable. Only saw 2 members of staff in the afternoons, both were friendly and efficient
Lovely, helpful and welcoming staff.nnWe booked the last available room which was accessible. The room is a bit dated and there is no AC. There was a fan but it wasn't enough. Even on a chilly October night when we returned to the room it was much too hot and stuffy. Even though we weren't at the hotel for the whole evening.nnTv was a good size but in a awkward position from the bed. USB is are not easily accessible or non- existent.nnThe room is nice and clean and spacious it just needs an update.nnLocation is perfect as it has free parking, is right next to the train station and is a 15 minute walk to the shopping centre.nI did not notice any noise from trains.nnBreakfast tasted alright but hot food is made to order and there was only one young lad cooking all on his own. Took 30+ minutes to arrive to the table. The staff was once again super friendly and helpful. I think if the english breakfast was a buffet instead it would lighten the pressure on him.nnI had a nice evening here with my partner and would return in winter or if there is AC.
