Incredible. I could write pages about how delicious the food was at the pass, about how well paired the wine was with each course, how lovely the room was and how luxurious the hotel is, but the truth is, everything was about as amazing as it could be. The staff were very knowledgeable, particularly about the food and wine and couldn't do enough for us at any point. I would highly recommend South Lodge Hotel to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to return.

A nice unlimited afternoon tea, with scenic views. Staff could do with a bit more basic training (food knowledge, and table set up). No management presence. Not very busy. Food was very impressive, clearly a chef with a passion! Building maintains a historic charm, with well maintained land.

The staff are fabulous here they can't do enough for you... we stayed in the stable room I would highly recommend it. The grounds are beautiful and so is the food.

My partner and I were bought Sunday lunch in the Camilla restaurant for Christmas, and have to say the whole experience was wonderful. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, especially Greg. The food was plentiful, and my other half didn’t even have dessert she was so full up. The cost of the meal and service in our opinion was spot on, but have to say the drinks prices are over the top. £5 for a bottle of water, just shy of £10 for a large glass of average red wine. As an overall experience it was superb and will be returning.

This is an amazing venue, we got married here in 2011 and what a day it was, wish we could go back and relive it all again. We return every year for afternoon tea which I must say is delicious and the children’s afternon tea is really creative our little one loved it. We also attended an out door cinema event here too which was a deal with a 3 course dinner before. Food and wine is excellent The grounds are stunning, rooms are lush but very pricey unfortunately however it’s a very cosy place in the winter and great fun in the summer as plenty of outdoor seating and grounds to explore. Highly recommend.
