Got a spa and afternoon experience as a present and what a great day we had. Leisure facilities are wonderful, very clean, pool, sauna and Jacuzzi are really nice. Staff so helpful. Then the afternoon tea, well what can I say, again really good with beautiful cakes. Thank you so much for the lovely day my friend and myself had. Hope you do it again soon.

Lovely building. Breakfast was good both mornings and staff very helpful. Evening meal was good when it arrived but service was very poor. Rooms tidy and clean. Bed was very small my legs hung over the end. I know I am over 6ft but made it very uncomfortable. Have to say the manager listened to our problem explain what had happened and compensated us accordingly

Went for a breakfast will friends yesterday morning and met two people who was staying there. Two girls served us, and they was really lovely. The food however was disguising! Firstly, they got 3-4 of our orders wrong out of 6 of us eating, and even then when they brought it back out, it was still wrong!! But we didn’t bother calling them back as we was very hungry. Now, the quality was poor. I was expecting better from a place like the Oaks Hotel. The bacon was rock solid and the the sausages were burnt along with the majority of the food being cold. I will not be coming here again. The Prairie is just down the road and they do a breakfast far better, and a hell of a lot cheaper!!!

The Hotel is fine for able bodied people , but so many stairs if not. The bar meals were very nice and reasonably priced. The spa and pool an added bonus.The staff all very nice and friendly.Our room did smell a bit fusty.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room ok but overlooking a wall. Breakfast order was wrong, tried to order evening room service but nobody picked up the phone. Spa changing rooms were freezing as was the pool. Extremely noisy and difficult to sleep due to a wedding party and what sounded like a vacuum cleaner in the early hours of the morning - to be expected on a Saturday night I suppose but it would be good if the hotel made an effort to understand your reasons for staying and accommodated you in a quiet room if appropriate. Wouldn't revisit.
