For what they charge for the membership, the facility is overall outdated, the changing room is in need of a due up. The gym equipment is not that great, the area for weight lifting is too small. I booked a massage and it was supposed to be a deep tissue, but the girl had barely any strength in her arms/hands. The staff were always nice and helpful and the classes were good, so 3 stars only because of the staff, otherwise it would have been 0. Ohh, and if you want to cancel you need to give a months notice and you can't do it from the membership portal, you need to do it either in writing or on the phone.
Don't come here! The manager was the worst, and tried to charge us a fee for a service we never booked, and tried to blame their junior staff. They lost out on our business. Went to Kingsmill Spa instead, where the people were great
Really enjoyed our visit this past weekend. Had a Wowcher for a couples massage, we'll be turning up earlier next time so we have more time to use the rest of the facilities. The whole team were lovely and welcoming, which really put our nerves at ease. Would definitely go again. :
Have only ever used the pool, so can't speak for what the gyms like. Something is always not working or open when visiting, for the price of membership its not good ! Very very tired looking facility's pool tiles missing or loose, saunas the wood is splintered, steam rooms bulbs out and tiles cracked. Changing rooms are cold and old. Oh and if you get a membership beware if you want to cancel early. Overall very expensive for very little. Much better places else where.
My neck and shoulders have been hurting me for weeks now and it finally got too much for me today, I knew it was a long shot but I called to see if I could get a back neck and shoulder massage ASAP. The woman on the phone said they were fully booked but kindly agreed to take my number and call back if there was any cancellation. She called me back almost immediately and booked me in. I've just come out from my massage with Amy and I feel a million times better. I can't even say how grateful I am. If you're reading this lady on the phone and Amy, thank you so much, you are absolute angels xxx
Had a fantastic massage from Emma today, made to feel very welcome and relaxed from entering at reception, up to the relaxation room to wait and the. In with Emma. I’d booked a deep tissue massage to work out all my knots and tightness in my shoulders and neck and Emma was fantastic. Highly recommend
Shocking customer service. Wanted to join the gym but there was no one to show me around. I was told that there will be someone to show me around but in a week ! I was told someone will call me on Saturday to arrange a viewing with me. Well that never happened. The women at the reception was unpleasant, unhelpful and generally needs a good training in customer service. I went and joined elsewhere.
Excellent facilities everything available even with current restrictions, staff are friendly, spa days are good value for money and facilities are well maintained. The spa area is quiet enough, the pool is quite cold though! The massages are top notch - probably the best Bannatyne in the country and I have been to a few!
Had voucher gifted from my job. Arranged 30 min back massage. From time you stepped into the room the time probably started to count. Me and my colleague was surprised, that you can call it massage. Pedicure it also, just painted nails in less than one minute. Luckily we didn't pay as it was thank you gift from workplace.
Had an excellent Full Body Swedish Massage from Louise. Was really happy to finally get a therapist who actually applies good pressure when you want a deep tissue massage! I felt amazing afterwards and will definitely be back. Highly recommended! :
