My partner and I had a lovely 2 night stay in superior disabled room. Beautiful room with best wet room ever. Had lovely view was great location for disabled person as right in middle of city. Car park was perfect and reasonable price . Only complaint was that my partner struggled to get mobility scooter into lift.... was expert by end of stay tho . Staff also very helpful and pleasant.
We booked in for 3 nights over Christmas. The Lady on reception was very helpful. We used the car park which was fairly quiet. The room was perfect, and the view was spectacular. We ate in the bar for 3 nights. The food was lovely, the service was excellent. The young barman was friendly, his name was Iain. The receptionist was called Megan. All the staff were nice.
Location is good, just a short walk from train station, please note if you are driving there is a £12 per night charge for parking your car. Staff very friendly and helpful, food was good, most disappointed on return home to find my card had been charged £126.90 when should only have been £20.00. Now need to spend time trying to get this sorted very frustrating.
Took over 1hr30 mins for a curry and a fruit salad, the fruit salad never came, gave up waiting.nnBars filling outside bin up with glass and banging the lid every morning between 4.45am and 6am in the courtyard below my window.nnHad a towel with blood spots on.nnCleaner didn't change bedding unless I stripped it off, I only took the do not disturb sign off the door once a week. They just turned the cover over one week, Dover cover had a rip in so was very sure of this. Didn't hoover room either. Desk sticky on arrival, didn't get cleaned for whole stay. Rooms could be cleaned ALOT betternnRooms dated and very cold in winter even with supplied oil filled radiator on constant.nnAdvertised with gym but not one on site.nnPrices in winter are reasonable but £200+ a night, it's daylight robbery.nnCar park used by people who aren't staying so regularly fills up.nnOnly good thing is the location.
Room was lovely, staff were friendly and the location to explore is great. The view of the hotel from its car park looked a bit grotty but the place is lovely. Although charging guests an extra £12 per day to use the the hotel car park is a bit sleazy. The food especially the breakfast was brilliant, my wife and I were very happy
