Hotel looks dated on the outside but lovely inside. Food is great but a bit pricey. Drinks are way to dear though. Staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Riverside for a peaceful night's sleep, Church Street side can be rowdy. Good gym, shame swimming pool is not in use anymore.

Great location. Privileged rooms are very comfortable. Bathrooms are small, no place for personal belongings. Very simple breakfast but plenty of restaurants, cafes and groceries near by. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would stay again.

I stay in this hotel regularly and it is definitely a place that you can book with some assurance that you will get a clean room and decent service. The interiors are pleasant with lots of tasteful tartan, but oddly no two rooms I have stayed in have been the same. Keeps you on your toes I suppose. Great breakfast selection, and the restaurant is handy albeit a little overpriced for the standard of food, but more than acceptable if you are away for work and need something on your doorstep.

Easy check in. Very good breakfast. Room very clean and bed comfortable. Lovely shower and lovely view of the river. Very friendly staff

The cocktails were well made and competitively priced (although regular drinks are a little over-priced). Well furnished with polite staff. Particularly enjoyed the live acoustic music which makes a nice change to the music being played in other venues.
