This was a superb station for both arrival and departure, with well-sized platforms for the express services! Departure boards are up to date, canopy goes over a suitable portion of station for waiting or arriving off the train especially in the sunlight. Signs help navigation around, cleanliness was also enforced and staff were very welcoming helping out when we had a problem with the ticket gates then letting us through yes we did have tickets of course just the gates would not scan!
Today were engineering works on the railroad, so almost all trains were replaced by buses, I was traveling from Birmingham with change here, there is a very helpful and friendly staff informed us about the situation and helped us with change onto a replacement bus, they also gave us some bottles of water, The station was empty from passengers, so waiting room was empty and comfort. The station has 4 platforms and overground building serves as crossing, so way from waiting room to all platforms is easier then in most stations
Excellent staff support in Banbury while getting advice and a bike on to a train! They were well informed, courteous -.even making their way to the platform to make sure it all worked out. A great team effort!
Awful customer service every single time. I understand it's a soul destroying job sitting on reception, dealing with the general public and giving out train tickets all day, but that is the job you chose to do, and the majority of us don't deserve to be treated with such disrespect, especially when you are being paid to do a job. Just make sure to order your tickets in advance and don't rely on the staff for any assistance or direction, or to do their job at all. Ironically they all look like they've been hit in the face by a train ‍
They forgot my coffee until I reminded them.nThen given a lukewarm large latte.nSpent £120 pounds ion two tickets to LondonnWith parking, no weekend parking facility, had to Pay for a week!
