I would like to formally recognise Madda for her outstanding performance and exceptional customer service at B&Q Thurrock on multiple occasions that I have encountered her.nFrom start to finish, her level of professionalism, efficiency, and genuine willingness to help stood out immediately. Words genuinely cannot describe how helpful she was.nMadda demonstrated excellent communication skills, taking the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly without ever making the interaction feel rushed. She listened carefully, understood exactly what was needed, and ensured every question was answered with patience and confidence. Her product knowledge and ability to break down information in an easy-to-understand way made a potentially stressful situation straightforward and positive.nWhat truly sets Madda apart is her attitude — she went above and beyond what is expected of her role, showing real care for both the customer experience and the quality of her work. I would like to provide some feedback regarding a staff member named Adam I believe, as that’s what was on name tag. His service was good and he was helpful during my visit. However, there was a noticeable issue with personal hygiene that made the interaction uncomfortable.I initially thought it was a one-off during a previous visit to B&Q which is why I didn’t mention anything about it before ,but I have experienced the same issue more than once.I felt it was important to bring this to your attention, as it does affect the overall shopping experience and interaction if you in need of help.
I visited this branch today after checking online that the two items I needed were available in store, which is why I chose this location. It took me over 30 minutes to get there. Upon arrival, I spent some time walking around the store trying to find a member of staff for assistance, as it is a very large store, but I was unable to locate anyone on the shop floor.nI eventually returned to the tills and asked a staff member for help, showing her the items I was looking for. I was quickly told that one of the items was only available online and was directed to an aisle for the second item. When I went to that aisle, it contained completely different products. I then attempted to find the item myself but was unsuccessful and lost a considerable amount of time.nI returned to the same staff member, who directed me to a colleague. I followed the instructions again and found similar items, but not in the colour I was looking for. When I went back to ask for further assistance, I was dismissed once more and told that there were no staff available in that department to help me.nOverall, this was a very disappointing experience. The lack of support, inaccurate directions, and dismissive attitude from staff made my visit extremely frustrating. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had, and I would be very reluctant to return to this store in the future.
When you meet really nice people like LYNN. You would like to come back over again.nShe was so helpful and polite, showed me the screws needed and looked up the exact ones for me.nThank you so much.
Firstly I would take the last two negative comments with a pinch of salt. This branch is amazing with lovely friendly staff. I was unfortunate to have a cardiac arrest over a week ago and the staff was so helpful well trained and actually save my life I’ve been in personally to thank them And I’ve done an email to head office special thank you to all the trade staff who came running and to Lisa the supervisor for the main customer till area who performed the CPR and save my life I can’t thank her enough and this branch
