Absolutely fabulous little shop, I was walking past the other day and thought I'd pop my head in to ask if he sold Adam Audio speakers which unfortunately he didn't but he gave me some great advice on them which ended up with me buying a pair a few days later and I have not been disappointed! Additionally, he had a Devalet Phantom Gold in the shop, which I've always wanted to hear in person. He offered me a demo, which made my day as the unit sounded incredible. Old school quality customer service at its finest, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. This will be my first stop in the future if I need anything audio.
Order a pair of Kanto speakers online, spoke to someone over the phone who was helpful and friendly and I’m really happy with everything from customer service to delivery. Most importantly the speakers came in perfect condition and got here quickly, also very competitively priced - in fact the cheapest I saw online. Will definitely drop in if I’m ever passing and will look online for any future speaker needs. Cheers
They simply don't care. Placed an order 21/6 they quoted to dispatch within in 3 days. That day I received an email from John, admitting they don't have it in stock and will be sent by the supplier in 3-5 working days and dispatched to me the next day. 12 days later 3/7, I reached out to him to ask why it's delayed, to just be ignored for a week. 7 days later 10/7 I simply receive an email from DPD that my package is on the way. When it finally arrives after nearly 3 weeks, I open it to find they have sent the wrong case. I called the shop and spoke to Joe, who assured me that John would call me back shortly to rectify the issue I wanted to confirm that if I ordered again, the correct one would arrive. I heard nothing for 2 days, until yesterday, when I receive another email from DPD with a returns label. No word from anyone. Thank goodness I didn't spend any serious money here and I strongly suggest you don't either. They do not care about their customers' experience, just your money. Do I NEED the stuff they're selling? No. Such purchases are meant to be a pleasure and this company isn't providing it, based on almost identical debacles being referred to within these reviews. Don't be the next mug. And please don't come at me with "customer satisfaction is a priority" or whatever the pasted line is, when it comes down to taking the time on the day/3 weeks, you decide not to. Home Media in Maidstone have it in stock and it's on the way. A much slicker operation. UPDATE: True to form, after a trip to the post office to return the case I didn't order, I simply get a generic email, informing me that the refund has been processed. John, I'm sorry my measly £99 headphone case issue was such an insult to your time. Maybe you should hire Joe to deal with such trivial matters, he seems like a nice guy.
I have purchased 2 items from Audio Affair and both experiences were great. My latest purchase was a Cyrus amplifier and I used Audio Affair's WhatsApp number to make the purchase. Unfortunately, the amp was not in stock, but Audio Affair ordered a unit from Cyrus and delivered it to me on the exact date I specified which was a week later using DPD. I paid for the amp using a PayPal invoice that they emailed me. I received amazing customer service on WhatsApp from David and I love the amplifier. I will definitely order from Audio Affair again.
Poor customer service unfortunately. They made an error that put me out a portion of money due to the refund process, and they did nothing to rectify the situation or even attempt to give action to their apology. The refund was good enough for them, even though I had to pay for their mistake bare minimum attitude towards customer service. I’ve run and am a small business, and this would have never been handled this way — I guess that’s the price of big business. Wouldn’t recommend dealing with them if you’re not local! Edit: Still no contact from the service department, and my attempts to contact the person I was dealing with have been ignored — even worse customer service than anticipated.
My experiences with Audio Affair encompassed everything that could go wrong, with their doing everything they could to make things right. Having spent a great deal of time choosing a new hi fi system, with the patient help of Richard, the turntable arrived with a faulty tone arm, and the cd a different make was faulty. All of this was high end equipment and a disappointment and surprise, while getting the problem corrected was complicated and made longer by the maker of the turntable offering to come to the UK to fix it with new parts but not confirming a date! and the problem at first being proscribed to the amp and not the cd, however, Richard and Tristan kept me in the loop, made every effort to hurry things along and in the end had the CD player replaced for a new one from the manufacturer, and upgraded the turntable to that of another manufacturer with very satisfactory results. Bad luck can befall anyone, and Audio Affair managed mine as well as they could, discounting a turntable that is almost certainly better than the one I originally ordered that Richard then travelled a long way to personally install.
Over the decades I have bought many items of high-end hi-fi equipment. Audio Affair stands out as the most friendly, helpful and efficient. There was a problem with the product - due to the manufacturer rather than Audio Affair - and the resolved it with the manufacturer very quickly. They in particular one Laurent kept me fully up to date, both by telephone and by email. It seemed above and beyond to me. In addition they have a tremendous range of stock. 100% recommendation
The test of a good company is when something goes wrong, and so far Audio Affair have been superb in dealing with a faulty speaker I bought from them, and stepped up right away. They've been prompt at answering the phone and getting the issue moving which is still in progress but so far excellent support has been provided. First rate customer service goes a long way.
Audio Affair is a fantastic place to get top notch audio equipment. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They communicate with you every step of the way. I'm a USA customer and I couldn't be happier. Tristan kept me in the loop when FedEx dropped the ball. Oh yeah, did I mention that their prices are the best anywhere. Can only believe that the bad reviews are by customers that couldn't be satisfied anywhere they shopped for equipment. Thanks for a great experience.
super easy to set up a appointment, went in tested the focal bathys then got home went on website to get finance for it , and they even sent me links to set me up the claim stuff so i just had to apply for the financing which i got , also store had a cozy atmosphere and great selection of hifi headphones and even what i presume were amplifiers / dacs on the table that looked super nice, defintely a great store for testing out hi-fi / audiophile grade headphones before you buy them
