Really well looked after.plenty of stairs to climb but we'll worth the effort when you finally reach the top room.i , use a stick but I don't think serverly handicapped people would manage. There are good clean toilets on one floor. Plenty of things to keep children interested. The staff were very helpful and informative.no charge just a donation will suffice.

There is a shop on the ground floor and you're free to explore the 3 floors above to view the historic content, and there are workshops as well. There is lots of character outside and inside of the building. Most of the timber framing is the original (late 1500s building) with a few restored / replaced bits too (you can tell by the oak colour). The only problem with the Ancient High House is that a McDonald's was built right next door to it!
