This place is incredible. It is so cozy. The view is amazing. The host is so very kind. She asked us what time we wanted to eat breakfast and got up at that time ready to cook. She came to the table and took our order and went and cooked it. It was delicious. French press coffee was provided to the table. Great view from the on-suite room. Definitely worth the extra per night. It is about a .4 mile walk from the town center but it isn’t a bad walk. It’s straight down the main road. I would stay here any time I return to Skye. The room was clean. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was nice, shower was hot. Common living room area was so cute. The Rooms: So nice. Clean, beds made daily. Incredible view. Towels, shampoo, body wash, tea, electric water kettle, hair dryer, and blanket were all in room. Even has USB and USBC plug. Nearby activities: In the isle of Skye. In Portree. 10-15 min walk to city center .4 miles. Food & drinks: Made to order and delicious
I had a promising 1st solo trip aside from the spectacular places I've seen, I had also a very wonderful experience staying in Almondbank, the very warm and hospitable treatment of Ms. Effie was remarkable plus the seaside view and neatness of the house and also with the great breakfast!!! Highly recommended! Rooms: tidy, clean and spacious. Safety: safe equipment are present and have your own respective keys Walkability: 15mins. walk to the city centre and it's near to public road Food & drinks: great breakfast Noteworthy details: the seaside view was calming
Stumbled across this little gem because all the campsites were full. The host eve was as nice as is possible! Super helpful and just lovely. The room had a phenomenal view so did the lounge. The beds were a million times better than the tent we had and the breakfast was perfect
We reached middle of a summer night to Portree having driven from Edinburgh with a wife who we did not know at the time was pregnant She was terribly tired throughout the trip.. !! without any reservations and we scouted around the city for a place and randomly hit on this Hut which provided us with warm beds. When we got up in the morning the window was a sight to behold. Loch Portree in all her glory and a school of dolphins swimming into the bay. Man that was spectacular. !! The location is stunning. The food is good and the hostess most gracious. She guided us to all the good hikes for us and also provided my wife with a change of Jacket and clothes baggage issues. We had a wonderful time and a fantastic introduction to Skye with out base located here. Am waiting to take my little one there when she is a bit older. Have suggested many of my friends this place and nobody has been disappointed.
Our host was lovely, the view from the house was breathtaking, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Perfect!Rooms: 5/5
We stayed for 2 nights though initially planned only 1 night. Everything was just perfect so we do not want to leave it. Cleanliness at the highest level, very tasty breakfast, kind and friendly owner. The view is magnificent, this is the place where you can feel yourself like at granny or Mum's home and spend evenings in a cosy bathrobe enjoying the sea view and ferry. Highly recommend!

This is a fantastic B&B In Portree! Everything is cozy and lovely. And for sure the sight in front of the house and Effie, the host, are the best things. We’ll definitely will be back.

An amazing place. Very clean, great views of the bay, easy walk to town. The owner Effie is a joy to talk with and gave us a great restaurant recommendation. This is a must while staying in Portree.
