Me and my friend with small child popped in after Christmas market for some food and it was brilliant. I had mocha was lovely well balanced in flavour. We had soup and grilled sandwich. Presentation was spot on. Spicy tomato and red pepper was packed with spice and flavour definitely had a kick to it. Cheese was melted to perfection. Over all experience was fantastic. Highly recommen.

Booked the hotel pretty much last minute and the hotel was very accomodating. Mentioned in the notes when booking that we had 2 babies ages 1 with us and the hotel replied stating that could include travel cots in the rooms when we arrived if required which was a massive help. Allocated rooms next to each other which were very spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Staff very friendly, helpful and the breakfast was very good. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cockermouth.

Needs a bit of tlc in room 204 4 poster not as steady as it should be little curtain should just be taken away, bathroom vanity light didn't work nor did an electric socket next to the bed. It could be a fab room with a bit of a makeover. The staff are all lovely and they serve a fantastic breakfast.

Fantastic Hotel' Had a great room with a ginat bathroom. Breakfast was nice and there was a bar on sight with friendly staff. Recommend walking around Buttermere' 20 minute drive away.
