I rented a car from Alamo on my trip to Greece in March 2022. Two days later, a tire warning light came up and was repaired at the Alamo branch. I get a collision my back at near the Malgara toll station and asked for my car replacement, because the rear bumper and trunk were damaged, but they was rejected and asked me just drive the damaged vehicle. I have to wait three hours for Police man's report and I guess Alamo has not any interest of their customer. I couldn't keep my bag in the car with a broken trunk, and I stopped traveling and returned the car. My trip to Greece ended in a bad memory. Remember it!!! Alamo is not interested in customers who have had a car accident.
Me and my family rented a car for just under a week in Greece. The gentleman at the airport desk was very polite and informative. We had no issues locating the parking lot the car was waiting for us at. Once again Alamo staff there were friendly and proficient. We loved our car! The return was quick and hassle free, with very friendly staff again. I would definitely recommend Alamo Athens. Thank you.
Absolutely a MUST AVOID! From counter staff to customer care and even parking staff you will not find a single thing that will go right. If you book from an alamo site in UK or US good luck to you. The local price given on the reservation will NEVER much the one they see on their screens. Sometimes they won't even find the reservation and play the fool. Good luck to anyone who tries to argue with them, they will find any excuse under the sun not to give you what you have rented at the price agreed. Their vehicles are on the run down. We we given a car with the exhaust hanging which we figured as soon as we hit the motorway. On another booking they gave us a car that had a full diaper thrown under the drivers seat. Always look into the fuel. They will over charge you when you return it. They NEVER charge the regular price as with most places in UK and US. A must AVOID or literally you never get what you pay for.
Excellent service. They gave me exactly the car that i paid for, is not always like this in car renting companies. Price was very good. The pick up and return service was also care free. I Will use them again in the future.
Mixed. We were given an automatic rather than the car we ordered. When we got this sorted out, the car had many dents and it took a while to get these properly recorded. Friendly and fairly helpful staff, but the muddle did not inspire confidence.
I used alamo in cyprus and greece. Both experiences were great. Taking and returning the car was easy and no one was looking for every small scratch. I had an inquiry after the rental ended. Customer service responded swiftly via email.
THE WORST!!! Staff are sarcastic and rude. We have booked a number of times and had an issue everytime. We gave them a final chance on this trip as we were assured the problems were looked into and resolved. We were given a free upgrade, which was basically an insult. The car we were given was bigger than what we booked. However, the car was a joke. It was old and falling apart. We had to sit our nephew in the back and were worried for his safety as the seat was falling apart. The lady at the desk couldn't care less about our issues. Customer service is litrally non-existent. I would never use them again and advise everyone to also stay away!
So first, Alamo is Enterprise, our Alamo car had Entrprise tags and decals. Next, this is the first time I had to drive to fill up the car BEFORE the trip begins. We drove it just out of the Alamo parking lot when the Low Fuel light came on. Finally, I have now learned to not accept the "upgrade". Insist on the car you booked, our complimentary upgrade from a Suzuki Baleno to Dacia Sandero was a dud. The engine was shot and a few times we thought we were going to breakdown. We've had a few bad experiences with Alamo now, so im sure for many they are happy, but we are finished with using them.
not a good experience at all. We were left without a car in Austria. we had paid for the car normally. they didn't help us at all in a foreign country and they didn't even return our money. unacceptable
We was very happy to rent a car from “Alamo “ at Athens airport. Car was clean and almost new. Many thanks to personal at parking!
