We sat in the conservatory, nice atmosphere, the food was great we had Beef rib Bourguignon and steak and ale pie the first choice of meal and pudding was not available, lamb shank and victoria sponge cheesecake the food was really tasty and we had a yummy dessert; the staff were very friendly!Food: 4/5
Came for a Sunday dinner with my family, not only was it decent in price but it was easily one of best meals I've had. Amazing friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be coming again.Food: 5/5
Great staff, very clean, great atmosphere and the food was not only reasonably priced it came out piping hot and was absolutely beautiful. I had the pie ...pastry to die for and hubby had the gammon .... he's still saying how well cooked it was . Thank you all xFood: 5/5
Just had a lovely four course meal with friends tonight New Years Eve. Excellent value for money Just over £20 p.p. Friendly efficient service. Food was tasty and portion size was a good size. We sat in the conservatory it wasn't too busy. There is a large outside area with a big screen and children's play area. The toilets are clean and accessible. Definately worth a visit.
Visited this pub after many years of not going in and first impressions it needed a good clean the tables were sticky and the menu's needed wiping down as well, food was good but service was poor maybe they were short staffed but still this is no excuse having said that the girl that served us was very pleasant, will we visit again i don't think so.
Four of us enjoyed a lovely evening couldn't fault anything. All staff friendly great food. Very happy with the Friday special bottle prosecco on offer Food: 5/5
Went here for the first time last weekend, nice place. The Food was really nice, we had the fish and chips and the pie and chipsboth were very good. Service was pretty good as well considering it was a Saturday afternoon and the place was busy, so it was probably slower than usual hence 3 stars had to go and ask for more drinks and then had to find someone to ask for desserts and then had to go and find someone to ask for the bill, which i absolutely don't mind doing except they were adamant it was table service only and if you say that, then that's what we would expect but staff were friendly and helpful when found!... overall a nice pub, Will definitely be coming back again. Thanks Parking: Car park is behind the pub
Had my gender reveal here and the staff were brilliant really helpful and lovely and the food was delicious, overall great night and would definitely recommend for any event thank you acorn!Food: 5/5
We have the senior menu as we don't eat as much food now. Only trouble is there's not a lot of choice.Food: 5/5
One of our favourite local ale houses. Now a Greene King house, decent selection of real ales, good atmosphere and dog friendly! Staff are always pleasant and welcoming. Outdoor playground for younger guests, restaurant area. Even added 4 x EV charging places, fantastic, but these were taken with non- EV’s which is something they really need to get a grip on.
