Story

Abington Park Museum is a beautiful Grade I listed building set in the grounds of Abington Park. Collections include military and the Northamptonshire Regiment, social history, natural science, Egyptology and costume. The Museum of Leathercraft maintains a permanent gallery on the ground floor.

During Northamptonshire school holidays we are open from Tuesday to Sunday.

Beautiful long stretch park. There's a pond with fishes and kids enjoy when fish jumps to catch food .. There's cafe and ice cream vendors, play zone for kids, bird park with varieties of birds caged. Family events can be conducted. Great Picnic spot. And definitely greenery gives out good oxygen and a quick walk will gain health.. yes they have walking track and pets are allowed. For all age groups its happiest place one can enjoy being there.

Have great family activities during the holidays and weekends too sometimes. Always nice to have a look around the displays too.

What used to be a really nice informative museum has over the years been allowed to fail. Watermarks and misinformation in the Unsigned Regimental museum. A sad response to the heroes of the county. One of the rooms has now been turned into a wedding venue as the local council seem to think all their properties should have one. The room is hot and lacking in air, and once full... Stifling. The staff have no knowledge of the Regiment and the plethora of boards which appear to be straight out of Capt Blackadders History of the Great War is often laughable. There used to be an informative and stunning medal room... This was downgraded into a sliding cabinet which was then locked as deemed unsafe, and then they have vanished. Poor information, poor displays and poor research... Well.. Virtually no research done. Sad.
