This review is written from the viewpoint of someone who visited this park in a touring caravan.nnPlus pointsnnGreat service from the friendly staff.nnThe Venue is great with a good mix of services and entertainment.nnThe touring caravan area has good showers and toilets, though there's no hooks to hang up coats etc.nnThere's plenty of activities to do for all ages, my two grandchildren loved it.nnIt's within easy reach of the main road network.nnThe MINUS pointsnnTOO MANY NOISY AND ROWDY GUESTS, I appreciate it's not the owners fault entirely, but they do nothing to stop it. Several parties of people had loud shouting and music until 3:30 in the morning. nnThe touring caravan pitches and roads are far too small for today's larger caravans and towing vehicles, this means the grass areas get driven on frequently and when we visited they were a bit of a muddy quagmire.nnBecause of the above point the mud the toilet and shower blocks were quite muddy too.nnThe changing rooms at the pool inside the Venue are too small for the number of guests using the pool in each session.nnThe older buildings on the opposite side of the lake from the Venue are somewhat old and tired.nnOne last view, it appears the updating and renewal work is ongoing so I hope in the future the caravan touring pitch area will get improved in terms of the pitch sizes, spacing and road widths.
Met up with Ryan as interested in purchasing a static caravan. He made us completely at ease, told us all we needed to know in regards to purchasing. All the hidden charges, not pushy, never felt pressured really listened to what we needed and wanted. Yes the park is under new management and so far the improvements are brilliant, and look forward to what is to come. Ryan went out of his way to make sure we had all the options available to us, can away very happy and new ownersxx
Billing Aquadrome is a fantastic campsite! We stayed in one of the hetaed pods, which made for a cosy and convenient camping experience. We had a BBQ and campfire, creating a relaxed outdoor vibe. The toilet and shower facilities are outstanding—spotless and plentiful, the best I've seen at a campsite. The park itself is massive and packed with family-friendly entertainment options, perfect for keeping the kids entertained. It's only a 40-minute drive from us, so it’s ideal for a quick escape. We'll definitely be returning!
Beyond disgusting to be honest. Spent a weekend here and although the activities look good it’s overpriced. We camped and when we turned up the amount of tents pitched was unbelievable it was like being packed into a sardine tin. We managed to find a space that wasn’t right in the middle of everything however when it came to using the washing up area and showers it was one of the worst I’ve ever seen. 2 of the sinks were out of action as was one of the shower blocks. The other shower block had over flowing sanitary bins dirt everywhere and no toilet roll. The smell was horrendous and there is no way they clean these frequently.nI’ve been on many camping holidays and with the volume of people on one camp site the toilets and shower block cannot accommodate this many people. We left a night early and to be honest would have preferred wild camping to this because I would have felt a lot cleaner using my own bottled water to wash with. This place could have so much potential but would not camp here again I’m afraid.
Hi,nnJust want to say that I absolutely loved being back at Billing Aquadrome. I used to come here when I was a baby, and I have brought all my children here as well.nnWe stayed in a caravan this time and it was absolutely brilliant apart from the broken sofa bed which was immediately sorted the next day with a refund for the night as I had sleep on the floor.nnThere is great facilities here, but I do feel there needs to be more over the park rather than just over at the venue but I know you guys have only just taken over So I’m sure this will improve.nnSwimming pool is great, but I do feel that this needs to be sorted for better facilities and lockers and longer times within the pool.nnAlso just want to mention we will be staying again, but there is now a rule about Vans not To be let through onto onto billing aquadrome, I completely understand about commercial vehicles etc but why normal family vans? please can you let me know why this is ? as a family of campers fitting camping gear into a car is pretty tough and turning away people with vans I feel it’s pretty bad when for example they’re driving quite a way to get to this venue to then find out they are not allowed due their vehicle… I have never had this issue with any other sites? I am now having to try find another vehicle so I am still able to come in September that I have already booked.nnAlso with the food side of things I feel the bar menu needs to be different from what the fish and chips takeaway is and also have a lot more variety.nnI will be returning I do love billing Aquadrome, but I do feel the small things need to be addressed as soon as possible for a more successful end of year and 2025 onwards. Again, I know you’ve only just taken over and I completely get that’s all working progress but where the fair ground also needs to be revamped And possibly an outdoor pool put there so the venue is not over swamped when it is hot in the summer period. As well as little cafes and things to do for a variety of children.nnI know some of the things I may have said are negative but I love billing and I cannot wait to see what you make of it. Please can we address the vehicle issues as soon as possible please.
