Went specifically to see the show exhibition and loved it! Very informative and loads of shoes on display. Examples from across the world, from 18th century China to the Spice Girls, via an elephant boot from Hannibal's crossing of the Alps - something for everyone!

Very interesting collection, but hope it will be more clearly displayed when the museum reopens (signage, lighting, access).....we did the top floor timeline backwards as must have missed any notice to where it started.

Museum is closed for refurbishment from Feb 2017 - late 2018. 
From website: "Northampton Museum & Art Gallery closed on Sunday 19 February 2017 to allow work to start on a major new expansion project. The new museum is expected to re-open in late 2018."
