Story

The Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital or RACH is a children's hospital in Aberdeen (Scotland), United Kingdom. It is situated on the Foresterhill site, with the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Aberdeen Maternity Hospital. The hospital provides a comprehensive service of paediatric specialties to Grampian, Highlands and Islands and Tayside.In 2012 the hospital revised their policy around the age of patients who could be admitted for care, raising the limit from 14 to 16 years of age.The original RACH was built in 1929, and was replaced in 2004 by a modern hospital.Its performance against the Four-hour target in emergency departments was 99.6% ranking third best in Scotland in August 2015.

I gave birth to my son mid Aug. The midwives at the labour ward were fantastic, tried to give me the best experience possible. Turned into a C-section, again the obstetricians were great, friendly and explaining everything. Plus they stitched me up beautifully!nThe ladies at the recovery ward were so friendly and looked after me and my son with all care.nStayed for 3 days at the Summerfield ward and my son one night at Neonatal. I couldn't fault anything, everybody was helping me and my son 24/7 and was so well looked after. I can't thank all the people involved enough, you are doing a grand job. Lots of love xx
Gave birth to my son 22/10/22 @ 12:30am and had the absolute best experience. The 3 midwife’s that were with me that night were beyond amazing & I couldn’t thank them enough. I had a really easy birth all things considered so I wasn’t in long enough to truly express my gratitude at the time to them but I think about my experience often & how lucky I was.
I can’t praise the rubislaw ward enough! Every single midwife and doctor was amazing thorough out my stay! I’ve been in and out due to a miscarriage due to complications! The care and empathy is outstanding! They deserve all the praise they can get! I will never forget how much they have supported and helped me and will be forever grateful!
I was asked to book an appointment to produce a fresh sample for my post vasectomy test. The telephone lady was very pleasant to deal with and booked me a week later. The gentleman at the window was very friendly and explained what I was expected to do. The room was very clean with a wonderful view over the car park. 5 out of 5, would come again.
This review won't do the maternity/labour ward justice. We had our baby girl on the 19th June and the support and care we got was absolutely outstanding. Massive shout-out to our midwife Emma we had who was there to help bring our Princess into the world. Everyone in the maternity/labour deserves a medal for how amazing they are. We will forever be in debt to you all for helping us get our baby. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!!!!!!!!
