I have been considerably unwell for quite a number of months. Yet again today I started calling the practice from 08.29, when the lines opened the message said due to the number of call basically I had to call back later. I need medical support now, not eventually when I can get through on the phone. I totally appreciate all the hard work and brilliant customer service from the staff but I need medical assistance now. The e consult, I believe, is still not operational so I have no way of contacting the surgery. Disappointing give how brilliant the reception/admin staff and others are.
these are some jokes. I make an appointment for a given hour and when I come to it, they say that I had earlier. Of course, you can't accept me because the ladies have a break. Receptionists make fun of patients. I will not leave such things and will contact the facility manager personally.
Caroline on reception deserves a medal. How she manages to provide such a professional demeanour with such a high volume of calls is incredible. She is patient, friendly and respectful. 5/5 for Caroline, 1/5 for Elmbank. With the exception of Dr Guru and Dr Provan whose many years worth of experience speaks volumes, it’s evident how well they know their expertise. Dr Bhana is absolutely shocking, disrespectful and rude. We appreciate she is knowledgeable but lacks any kind of manner or authenticity towards patients, sadly this has come from numerous patients and I hope to never have to deal with her again.
Can never get an appointment. If you do eventually get through to the queue, it tells you the number in list then after around 30mins it hangs up.... wonderful country we live in
This is an excellent medical centre. I have always been treated promptly, courteously and effectively by all the staff, whether it be Doctors, nurses, or administrative staff. Considering how busy this practice is, it is remarkably efficient. I have used several of their services over the years, and have been very impressed each time. An excellent practice.
Can't even make an appointment as the receptionist is clearly a qualified doctor and thinks she can tell you what's the matter. Really sore chest told her I done a lateral test and it was neg but no no this clown won't even entertain giving me an app as I clearly have covid, according to her. Absolute joke get her sorted out or promoted to top doc.
The worst customer service & practical skills I've ever experienced a group of individuals having, I spoke with the Dr Simon Ulyett and he is unbelievably rude, unhelpful & impatient, & seriously lacked basic competence required to work in a field such as this. To use only one example as a reference, he was suppose to send me a very important & VERY URGENT email which was already long over due and when he asked me for my email, I spelled it out for him 3 times, and then still told him that the email is my full nameWhich he had then confirmed it by repeating me in saying Ah it's basically your name" And he has my full name written down right in front of him, it would be impossible to get it wrong unless he didn't bother to put any effort in trying or purposefully got the name wrong. I didn't receive the email and had to wait over the weekend, when I phoned in again & spoke with the receptionist, I found out that he spelt my first & last name so terribly wrong they were completely different names. I am astounded at how incompetent someone that works in the medical centre can be in terms of social adequacy & practical skills such as reading & writing. Everytime I have came out of this surgery or called and spoken to reception I've left upset and not like I have had any problem fully fixed. I have had 3 appointments since the 3rd of November and all I've had thrown at me is cococodomal and dihydracodiene. I have now been referred to womans day clinic and have waited over a week for test results which is fine as they are busy however on calling elmbank surgery the other day the receptionist whome is an older lady actually spoke over me and told me to call womans day clinic myself as she did not have the results. When I asked for the number point blank said no and then told me I'd have to call the ARI switchboard to get the number myself! These bloods results could change my life entirely and this woman has made me feel like I have actually bothered her. This is also the same woman that had told me a certain test had came back clear when it hadnt. More if a review on the reception to be honest than doctors. Reception need to kindly remember that you work for the NHS and people that call are not well or upset. Remember empathy and remember that this is your job and a bothered tone is needed!!!!
Receptionist on the phone are extremely rude! Doctors i have seen are fantastic! Nurses are a hit and a miss as some treat you like your an idiot! One of my experience below: My wife who speaks English really well was spoken at by the receptionist not letting her ask any questions and when i tried to ask to speak, the receptionist hug up!
After having problems getting app for bloods for consultant spoke to Practice Manager and she said always will get my bloods checked now today phoned for app that hospital has requested not got an app waste of time. This practice needs to stop hiding behind COVID and start treating patients with respect & the care they should get
