I went into this store to find a gift for a friend before work. The shop is quite cluttered with stuff, I felt it added to the charm.
However that is where the charm ended. After browsing for a minute the man working there asked me very personal questions that made me uncomfortable and then asked me out for a drink. I turned him down, telling him that I did not have ID and then tried to leave. He grabed me and then put a necklace around my neck saying I could have it before taking great liberties in touching neck, arms and head. I could feel him breathing on me. This man did not touch me sexually. He shouldn't have touched me at all. I bought something for £5 and left.
I have never gone back in the store and dont plan on it anytime soon.

Warning: The owner of the shop seems to me has a problem of haunting and harassing women. I dropped by the shop one day and he friendly welcomed me. We chatted for a little and he offered me a part-time job of teaching him Chinese in the shop. The teaching went on for three weeks and he was nice and we became closer. He invited me to his home for dinner so I went to his home. That's when things turned nasty. He kissed me and hugged me without my permission and I was scared. I pushed him away at last and he apologized to me and said he was just too happy and meaned no harm. He sent me home but in the following month kept on sending me emails even when I clearly stated that I could not accept what he has done that night. I first thought this might just be a personal fantsy but after I saw the other reviwer's experience, I  started to realize that this is not that simple. Recently a Chinese friend of mine told me that the same man asked her whether she could teach him Chinese and she left her email to him and got harassing email. 
He didn't sexually violated me but the experience was mentally truamatic, esp to a new comer to a foreign country. I thought about whether to share the experience but after a bit of struggle, I decided that a warning might be helpful to others if my guess of the shop owner's problem is true.
It's such a pity because the shop itself has a charm.
