Superb, absolutely wonderful little pub and the food was absolutely amazing, will definitely go back for moreFood: 5/5
Outstanding food! I had the beef croquettes unfortunately didn’t get a photo and the beef with potatoes and red cabbage. Absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend!Food: 5/5
Purchased a round of 4 pints, all good. Then purchased 3 soft drinks fanta for the children and charged £12.60! That’s £4.20 a soft drink? I know times have changed and cost living has now made it acceptable to over price almost everything.. but really. Nice location, shame to be taken advantage of…Service: 3/5
Stood waiting at the bar whilst the barman served the regulars and ignored me. Once ordered it wasn’t until a lady appeared to ask the three staff members there if my drink had been sorted, which it hadn’t. I was then asked to go and sit outside to wait for my drink to be made, I wanted to sit in. The one star goes to the woman trying to manage the place, the four missing stars are for the absence of any sense or decent service.
Lovely pub on the beach with good food and a decent range of beers and wines. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great view from the bench tables outside the pub. Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options available Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available and a childe friendly pub
Service at the bar wasn't good and things did not get better after that... We order burgers and when the waitress came to bring them, did not occur to her to bring cutlery, napkins, ketchup, mayonnaise... absolutely nothing. Then my burger was raw in the centre, so I mentioned and the "chef" answer was that the burger was fine like that... to finish the visit, the ladies room lock was broken... what a joke of a place! And what a pity because the location is beautiful, but better take your own picnic.
A beautiful pub located on the Kingsdown coast, perfect spot to eat or grab a drink after a lovely walk down the beach. Very friendly service, checking up to ask if everything is good. The ambience is just perfect, if you imagine now what an old coastal pub would be like, you'll still be pleasantly surprised by the interior of the Zetland Arms. As for food, I had the locally caught beer battered cod. Usually when I eat battered fish, the batter ends up overwhelming or too rich, but here, it's a beautiful balance that allows you to enjoy the absolute most of your meal. Definite spot to return to!
My food selection was a solid 4 sorry I missed the photo of the starter and seasonal beer. The fire was a welcome addition as day bitter cold. Parking: Parking for a dozen cars. Plenty today in any case Wheelchair accessibility: Poor as dirty private road to reach the pub and Peebles all around.
A traditional Kentish country pub set in an enviable position, right on the beach, which offers an excellent range of drinks as well as quality pub food. Your only problem here is getting a table as clearly you need to book in advance or be very lucky. Limited car parking outside the pub on the shingle beach but only a short walk if you manage to park in the village. Vegetarian options: There is enough choice if you have a vegan or vegetarian in your group. Parking: Small car park on the shingle outside the pub. On street parking in the village is first-come-first-served. Be prepared for a walk.
Beautiful location and options to eat on the beach or in the restaurant. Obviously the menu is slightly more sophisticated indoors but in essence the restaurant means in the pub. We had a lovely relaxing and tasty meal. Staff are attentive and friendly, prices reasonable and the premises just quirky enough to be interesting and comfortable. Definitely worth a visit.
