Nice decor and pleasant ambience, staffs are friendly. It’s an upscale one in a prime location. Not the traditional Indian cuisine but modern with few twists. I found the portion sizes too small though the food was quite nice. Given the prices charged, maybe they could be more generous.. Among all the dishes that we ordered, my favourite was the tiger prawn starter, so delicious and full of flavour. Another thing that I found quite odd is that I received their text message to confirm the booking, which I replied. Also received their email reminder. On the actual day, I still received their phone call and ask me to confirm my booking. I can’t help wondering was their booking system too ineffective, or did they have too many cancellations in the past? It was not full house on the day…
I ordered the tasting menu at Zaika tonight, and it was the best meal I’ve had in a very long time! Everything was cooked perfectly, and the freshness of the spices and the flavor combinations were sensational. I finally get what people mean when they say that “the flavors were dancing on my tongue.” I will definitely recommend this restaurant to all of my friends who visit London.
My favourite Indian restaurant ever. Loved every single dish here, and always come back with my parents and siblings. Wish I was rich enough to dine here every night! Specifically, thank you so much Murad for your stellar service, kindness, patience and jokes! What a fine night, partly because of the food and partly because of the service!
This is the second time we've eaten here and it was even better than the first. My wife and I had the tasting menu which was superb quality and great value for money. Well done again guys Have recommended to friends and will return again soon Thank you
Probably the finest Indian I’ve been to in a London. All three courses were outstanding. Each dish was well balanced in the way it was cooked to the taste from the spices. My favourite was the lamb sheek kebabs and the chocolate rasmalai. Will definitely return again in the near future.
Zaika was a very nice experience for me and my family, which included my 8 month old baby. The interior was very warm and elegant. The staff were all very attentive, helpful and professional, especially Stephen. The food was very nice. My wife and I had the £59 each option, which was from the tasting menu, meaning we got to try many items from the menu in a reduced size if I'm not mistaken. Toilets and the entire premises were very clean. Nice high ceilings. It was a lovely experience.
The food was literally on another level. Spring term for my Chem Eng course has finished and went out with my friends to Zaika, which was a first for me. The Mushroom starter was an easy 10/10 and I'm a hard one to please, especially with my Indian taste buds and the other dishes were great too! The staff were so friendly and I was talking to one of the waiters and it looks like the Manager saw this. When I asked for a bowl of rice, he gave us an extra bowl for free and never did I encounter such hospitality before ;-; Although the food was expensive, it is worth treating yourself and endulging in my opinion, the best Indian food that London has to offer.
Great tasty food and very nice cocktails. We had the tasting menu and enjoyed every course. The staff is very very friendly.
As soon as you enter Zaika, the understated opulence of the main room hits you and makes you smile. Like a giant Gentleman’s Club of days gone by it promises old fashioned service and confident cooking. Unfortunately, the actual food on this occasion didn’t live up to the promise of the room. The crab cakes were far too salty, maybe some of the moistened salt that held the crab shells to the plate had found their way into the mix. The Scallops were deemed “OK” and the Lamb Kebab was good. The Butter Chicken was excellent- the tangy, buttery sauce was moreish but the too few pieces of chicken in the bowl looked lost. The staff touted the Lamb Shank in Puff Pastry as the best thing on the menu, so we had to try it. Sadly, it was the most disappointing dish of all. Instead of an actual Lamb Shank we got small pieces of Lamb I assume from a shank wrapped inside a shaped shank made of pastry. The meat itself was greasy and not at all what we had expected. The rice and the nans were fine but arrived tepid rather than hot. If this is upmarket Indian, I’ll stick to my local corner restaurant. Approx £55 per head including wine. Find dine Indian restaurant with an intimate menyu Cocktails were apt especially Jaipur bloom and house lassi Although starters are like side dishes serving one person. The kofta curry and baingan bharta and veg biryani were droolworthy. Let's not forget Raj Kachori Desserts highly recommended India ki yaad dila di
