First time visiting, we were very impressed. The park was clean and well laid out. The animal enclosures were a lot bigger than other zoos we have been to as a result the animals seemed a lot happier and more playful. We ate at the safari cafe the price is what you expect to pay but the food was lovely. Be prepared for a lot of walking due to the size of the site. We will definitely be returning.
One of the best wildlife parks in the UK by far! Everything is clean and tidy. Lots of staff around, very organised when guiding cars to parking spaces. Lots of options for food, plenty of picnic tables. Toilets are clean and they don't smell! Also plenty of loo roll! Great for children with different sizes of play areas and climbing frames. Walking around we saw everything, we never felt lost or that we had missed any animals, plus... plenty of viewing areas. Animal enclosures are brilliant, so much space for them and well designed. The polar bears are the reason to go for sure! Lots of space for them to expand too elephants please! Will definitely be returning!
Great Park. Can almost be described as a waking safari. Have a good range of animals. Amazing to see polar bears! Couldn’t see any leopards when we visited. Tip: Book tickets online in advance as ticket lines can be big. Fair bit of waking so wear comfy shoes. Allow at least 2-3hrs. Food and drink is very expensive inside. Slush drinks are rubbish. Machines didn’t work on the scorching day we visited.
Had an amazing time at Wildest Wizard of Oz. We took 2 grandchildren and they loved it. The characters and shows were great. The amount of animals were amazing and we didn't quite get to see them all. They thought the parks were fun and one indoor play area, when it started to rain. We loved the dinosaurs too.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
When you are visiting the park with a school group, the staff was definitely nice and supportive in accommodating us all. We saw polar bears, red panda, lions, lioness, tigers, camels, giraffe, monkeys, geladaa rare specie and there was a nice park for kids to play on the swings or build sandcastles. The walk, however, was very long to see all the animals and the weather, freezing while we were doing a tour. I wish there were more Guides, to tell us better about different animals/species or a safari to carry us long distances!!
So well laid out with lots of space in the enclosures. Great natural pools for the polar bears who clearly loved them. Also saw one of the tigers in her waterfall . Plenty of picnic areas, toilets and refreshment stops throughout. Also lots of keepers on hand to ask questions etc.. I had a fabulous day out and will definitely return regularly.
Took the family to see the Christmas Illuminations was an amazing experience! Kids loved it, so did the adults. Affordable ££ Great value for money, great day out for the family! Suitable for all ages! Not very wheelchair friendly for most of the place!
Loved the new Dinosaur exhibit, will definitely visit again. Ticket prices are more than fair for what you can see and do. Food and drink on site is a little pricey as is the gift shops however that is standard at most places similar to this. Over all this is a great place to visit and is very educational, my 5 year old loved it.
Great day out lots of interesting animals to see hear their stories as keepers tell their stories at talks throughout the day. Polar bears are wonderful to watch, perfect place for younger children lots of different play grounds, loved the Dino park great attraction itself. Entertainment team at the zoo put on great shows all day at the entrance and shops in same place to pick up a perfect gift. Food bit limited and drinks over priced. Before buying tickets see if any offers on tickets and do buy before u go.
The park is well laid out and has plenty of attractions with nice open spaces and viewing platforms to see the animals. We went in October and as such wasn't overly busy. Negative here is that the number of eating places were reduced at this time of the year and the food is not cheap. There are a few picnic areas though and these are undercover. Advice is then take your own refreshments
