Attentive staff, lovely food & great value. Midweek deal makes the resturant well worth a visit. Set in the Chase surrounded by beautiful countryside & walks. Dog friendly. Highly recommend.
A nice secluded country pub with 5 good Real Ales on including legendary Bass which is rare these days. Superb view from the front garden.
Recommend by friend, visited with friends for lunch. For a Thursday restaurant was packed as we were a table of 6 so pleased I booked. We all chose 2 meals for £12 special menu, couldn't fault choice, homemade cooking, plenty on plate, we ordered some extra side dishes which was a big mistake as portions were excellent. Real Ale which proved a hit with the men folk. Staff were excellent. Friendly, chatty the young waiter is a credit to them. Parking: Car parking across the lane. Plenty of spaces
First time we visited the Windmill was last night for a meal. The food was lovely. The staff helpful and friendly. Will definitely be returning. One little bit of advice though. As it was our first time there we did not realise there was a specials board in the restaurant. Perhaps the staff could either mention or a note placed with the menus to inform people. Other than that no faults . Was so nice to go out and have a tasty meal these days as a lot of restaurants have gone downhill. We were very impressed. Parking: Nice large car park which is well maintained
Been today for lunch. Had 2 cod and chips off the 2 for £10 menu! It was amazing. Don't be fooled by the prices you won't be getting small plates or portions. Cost under £18 for the 2 meals, a pint of Guinness and black and a pint of carling. Thanks!Food: 5/5
Been for a lunch date. 2 for £10 menu and cannot fault a single thing! Portion size was great. Food was perfect. Lovely cosy atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. What more could anyone ask for really?
Super find and an amazing stout on tap this afternoon that truly smelt of bananas. Very friendly staff… a shame the kitchen was closed due to a gas problem. But the crisps kept hunger at bay. Thank you
Not been for many years when dirty Den was there, but was told about the 2 for £10 offer on meals, and 2 for 1 drinks from 3-7pm so with a few friends thought would try it. It was really great value and the best plated cod & chips I've ever had in a Pub. Obviously drink's after 7 will be a little more, 2 x pints+++2 x 175mm wines just over £18 so try order your last drinks just before 7 to get your free drinks during meal ‍ Regards Sam & Jean . . .
Wonderful staff couldn't be more helpful if they tried. Meal was delicious, everyone on our table thoroughly enjoyed our food. My partner had a mixed grill, he said it was cooked perfectly. Gammon and the chilli was a hit and the lasagne was lovely. This was our first time visiting since the menu has changed, couldn't recommend it any higher. Lovely evening.
Amazing food, service and presentation. Warm and homely with open fires and smart staff, well presented and lovely. Great family pub and would come again!
