Seriously gone down hill since my last visit. I ordered a Cowboy Burger that came with fries. It arrived and looked like a Cowboy had actually prepared it. The burger buns were hard edged and the fried were barely warm. I'm almost certain that they were oven chips bought at Aldi. Over priced and overrated.
Wonderful evening, food and service excellent. Staff very attentive. A group of us went for our yearly Christmas get together and we weren't disappointed. Food arrived hot and plentiful and it was delicious. We all had different meals and there were no complaints and all plates were cleared. Huge bowl of extra vegetables and no request was too much for staff. We will definitely be returning very soon. Thank you to the staff at The Stags Leap we had a great night
Ordered via the app, one hunters chicken with chips and one with mash. Food came quickly and was hot. I did think the option of mash would be better served with peas but the portions were good and tasty. We ordered dessert, the trifle cheesecake, again via the app, this portion was quite small for the cost but very tasty. The time we dined wasn't busy, the atmosphere was comfortable and the pub was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate eating here again or recommending it to family or friends
We went for a meal yesterday and really enjoyed it. Welcoming and friendly staff from the moment we walked through the door. Food was fab and lovely ales too. Spotlessly clean too. Highly recommend a visit. Very well done to all the staff. Hollie Ryan Tom and chef Harry to name but a few.
Pleasant atmosphere, music playing but not so loud we couldn't have conversation. Served quickly at the bar pleasant chit chat with server. Food came not too long after, was hot and looked nice. Food was better than expected, I had a cowboy burger and surprised how good it was, only thing was the fries were a little overcooked so they were very crunchy but I still scoffed them up! Steak was cooked just right not a bit of gristle or fat. One thing I would moan about is how much a pint of soft drink costs, its actually more than a pint of beer. I don't like being penalised for being a non drinker. Apart from that we enjoyed our lunch very much and will definitely be back.
Fantastic food, love the lads and lasses at the bar here, great range of drinks. Great atmosphere. Come most weekends. Thank you all for always willing to go above and beyond.
This was our first visit to this pub, The pub its self was nice and bright and clean. The staff were very friendly. Me and my partner both ordered steak we asked for it to be well done. When the meals arrived it was nicely presented but the steak was still pink in the middle even though we had asked for it to be well done. We couldn’t finish eating our steaks because they weren’t cooked enough. Apart from that the rest of the meal was fine. I don’t think we will be visiting this pub again until they change the chef who knows how to cook a well done steak.
Great quiz and excellent table service for drinks, the best I’ve had to be honest! Special mention to the two servers who were both polite and accommodating, would definitely return
Enjoyed ordering at the table, but the QR code on the menu didn't work - message popped up saying there was a typo in the link. So I had to go through the website to order. Ordered two pizzas - my spicy chicken one was very nice. Boyfriend had meatlovers pizza - enjoyed it, but said the meatballs weren't good "taste like dog food". Service was excellent. You need to bring back soft drink refills - we would've stayed longer and potentially ordered desserts if we didn't have to buy another drink. For what it costs, can't understand not bringing back free refills.
What a gem! Decided to try here as local and never been, as a birthday treat, great atmosphere..quite busy, soon as walked through door member of staff was available, table location was ideal, ordering was easy, great menu choice, didn't wait long at all for 5 mains, waitress was attentative, enjoyed pub quiz!! Defo go again
