Great fast and friendly service, food was excellent. Highly recommend as a family of 5 this place is spot on!! The staff went out of there way to help celebrate my daughters 6th birthday!! Thank you so much!!
The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The food was beautiful and very generous portion sizes, it was served hot. Personally for me a would have liked the gravy a bit thicker with the steak and ale pie. But it was really lovely food! Prices were really good too. We will definitely be coming back again.

Hospitable and welcoming to the three of us and our dog for a lovely meal celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Our host made us all feel comfortable and even found a drink and treats for our young dog … and wasn’t upset when he spilt his water all over the floor - sorry! The food was well prepared, and delicious! Definitely worth a return visit!! Thank you to the staff here for a lovely lunch!
Staff are always lovely and make you feel welcome. They offer drinks more or less straight away and give you chance to choose your food. When the food arrives, it's always piping hot, a good portion and excellent quality. Staff are constantly checking that everything is okay and nothing is too much trouble. We don't visit as often as we would like to but we have already recommended the Ash Tree to family and friends.
It was very simple to book a table by phone. A member of staff came to greet us as we entered. We had our drinks order taken almost at once. We were given time to enjoy our drink before we ordered the food. The food arrived promptly. The staff was very pleasant.
Went for Sunday lunch, hadn’t booked but the pub was very busy. Spoke to Lisa The Manager who said if we wouldn’t mind waiting a couple of minutes she would clean a used table for us. She did so promptly and we were seated very soon after. The meal was excellent and the staff were very good and attentive. Will be recommending to family and friends!
Went for lunch Saturday, was quite busy but managed to get a table and ordered our food. Food came out without any delay really considering they were busy,staff very friendly and we're fantastic with my two kids. Would definitely go again.
Popped in while waiting on my car to be fixed. Very friendly service, sat out by canal and ordered at table which was incredibly convenient. Lunch was good quality and good portion size. Very enjoyable visit!
Beautiful place and a lovely meal, steak cooked perfectly. Enjoyed sitting by the canal for a drink after. Highly recommended
