This was a beautiful place to stay and so great with children - they loved exploring around the tents and hammocks. The owners have thought of everything you need for a relaxed and luxurious glamping experience and were very friendly and helpful through booking and messaging. We'd definitely return and would wholeheartedly recommend it.
This is amazing! You should definately come here to camp. Lovely set up, next to a small stream. Tents are spacious and have a log burner. They even supplied kindling and logs. Outside burner too which was lovely for evening fires. Close to lots of places to visit. One day we broke down in the car and the owner came to the site to help us out in the dark!, luckily he had just the part we needed to get the car up and running again. Saved the day and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience!!!! Will fully recommend
Firstly when I booked I said there was 5 of us. We booked for three nights. When we got there, there was only beds for four people. First night 3 of us had to share a double bed. Which was tilted to one side. We had to go and buy an air bed and pump for the second night. The wood stove in our tent wasn’t large enough to warm our tent. There was a 5 minute walk to a toilet with sink. Our private toilet was a compost bucket in a shed that is not cleaned out daily. The smell is sickly. I just wonder what kind of smell you’d have in warmer weather. Our kitchen had no sink. In fact if you require any water you have to walk up to the toilet! Second night our smoke alarm went of because there was so much smoke in our tent! None of us slept, we spent all night coughing. We decided to leave early. Most importantly we had no hot water for the two nights! Hot water didn’t work! We where told that it was due to extreme weather! The only thing extreme was the cost of £345 for the most unglamorous Glamping ever! This place is unhygienic!!!!!
Beautiful scenery, secluded spot on a working farm. Arrived at 3.45 for a 4pm checkin, no one around so had to phone to get further instructions. Never met owners. Only 5 tents altogether, so that was perfect. Large, spacious tent. Double bed very comfortable. Futons were dreadful, they need new mattresses. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar available on arrival, so that is a nice touch. Plenty of plates/cutlery/cups but only 1 medium sauce pan and 1 small one - not enough to cook for 3 people. Cooker took ages to heat a small pan of water. Grill only took 1 piece of toast at a time! No doors on the kitchen shed so it was completely open for wild animals to take any food or rummage through the bin although this did not happen. Plenty of logs for wood burning fire but they burned out very quickly. No electricity so couldn't charge phones and the only light after dark was fairy lights and T lights which, although very pretty, I couldn't read. I got a deal through Wowcher, so was OK with the price. But definitely would not pay full price
Average overall. Yurts are gorgeous, compost loos utterly disgusting and stank, everyone's did. No meet and greet. One toilet roll provided, no emptying of loos or restock of bags/rolls despite a 3 night stay. Very overpriced for what you get, could be so much betterRooms: 4/5
We were the amongst the first guests to stay here post lockdown w/c 13th July for 4 nights. The site is exactly what you'd hope for and exactly what we needed, off grid, in the middle of no where with views for days. We were lucky enough to stay in the amazing yurt Positives - - The bed is soooo comfy and luxurious - So cosy, especially when the log burner is lit - Pretty much everything you need is provided, even milk, tea and fresh coffee - Spotlessly clean on arrival - Watching the stars from bed through the glass ceiling is something I'll never forget! Negatives - - The yurt is the first camping spot after the car park, meaning you will get people walking past. There was a large family staying in the cabin down the path from us that walked past our yurt literally every 10 minutes, all day, and into the night. We eventually figured out they were taking it in turns to use the staff toilet that flushed in the car park - That same family were using our "private" shower. The shower for the yurt is up the path in the carpark and is supposed to be for our exclusive use, however no lock on the door meant other families were using it also. A simple lock with a key that could go with the yurt key could easily resolve this issue - A little path from the Yurt to the toilet would be great and stop it getting muddy when raining - Check in is rather late 4pm, and check out is rather early 10am Things you need to know / tips - - There is NO electricity at all on site - There are towels provided which wasn't on the list we were emailed meaning we packed towels, taking up valuable room as we travelled on a motorbike - Take a tea towel as there isn't one provided - If you're staying in July, take mosquito & fly spray, they are relentless! - Take an eye mask if you're staying in the summer. It gets light very early - Follow them on Instagram, the recommendations for local shops / eats are spot on - Red Indigo local Indian takeaway deliver to the site and is so delicious I definitely recommend this place if you're after a fully off grid experience with lots of luxury.
Wonderful weekend thank you Diane! Everything as described and we survived the first night waking up to snow on the mountain tops thanks to toastie stove and plenty of blankets provided. Our boys loved it so much one was crying this evening because he wants to come back! Hope to return again x
Beautiful site in the most tranquil location. We stayed in the cabin and had all of the amenities we could have possibly ever needed. I would recommend Wye glamping to anyone looking to relax and unwind in the outdoors.
Excellent weekend was had here. Staying in the Yurt. Very well looked after site. Yurt is spacious and gets lovely and warm when the wood burner is going. Highly recommend a visit.
Wonderful glamping experience with my family here last summer. The location was perfect, very peaceful, the facilities were fantastic and very helpful team. Highly recommend and hope to attend again this summer! :
