Lovely campsite on the edge of the village. Perfect for 2 people on a trip or solo campers. Very quiet. The wonderful couple that runs the place have done an excellent job creating a space that’s peaceful and relaxing.Rooms: 5/5
Very beautiful campsite, with very friendly chickens and a river running by the pitches! We enjoyed our night here with only a couple of issues. The showers are metered, which is fine, but 50p per 4 minutes was a bit steep considering they weren’t very good showers, and the washing up water wasn’t hot. The bigger issue was that the ice pack freezer is set so low that our ice packs were still slush after being in overnight, which caused us some problems the next day. These things may not be important to you though, since otherwise it’s great here. I’d recommend staying here, there’s a lot to love!
The perfect campsite for solo campers, couples or small groups. No kids, no music, no dogs & no groups over four make it a very relaxed, quiet & peaceful campsite set next to a stream along with the resident chickens. It's also only a 10 minute walk into Brecon town.Hotel highlightsQuiet, Great value
Idyllic, tranquil and magical are words that spring to mind when thinking about this location. You can sit in your own garden beside the river and listen to the constant sound of birdsong and water lapping over the rocks. You can’t actually hear the road as you’re set down below it, nor is the camp site noticeable as it’s downstream and you can’t even see it. We didn’t do any of the excursions that we’d planned as we were already sitting in such a beauty spot with everything at hand. The cottage has everything you need to be self sufficient and the town centre is only a 2min drive away. Susie and Noel are friendly hosts along with the chickens that come visiting and they lay good eggs as well. This is the best cottage that we’ve rented so far and we will return. One last point is the Brecon Tandori by the bridge....excellent food. Bob Barber
My partner and I have just had the most amazing weekend in the Brecon Beacons. The weather was great which made for some lovely trips out hiking up mountains and visiting some fantastic waterfalls. We could not have got luckier with where we stayed, the cottage was absolutely perfect! Could not recommend enough. Perfect location with Brecon town only a 1 minute drive yet the cottage felt very private and peaceful. The hosts are great and have made the cottage perfect for a week/weekend get away. Everything we needed was there and we loved it so much it was a shame to leave...… We will definitely return!
A beautiful site well looked after set next to the Honddu River. 10min walk south to the town and a 15min walk north to the delicious Hills. If you like burgers, go there! The site is aimed at adults that want some peace and quiet away from it all. Ok so the odd chicken may try and join you and a hunting buzzard or two may cry out on occasion but overall it has a sense of calm and relaxation. This July was our third trip here and we will be back.
Idyllic little campsite locate a 5 min walk from centre of Brecon, with all its places for food and drink. Campsite is very quite with a river running next to it. Has showers, toilets and wash facilties. I have stayed many times- Highly recommend
July 2024 - Husband and I loved everything about Priory Mill Farm, and are in awe of the skill and dedication of Susie and Noel in the restoration and running of this so special place. We stayed in Granary Cottage over what used to be the stables. It was cosy yet spacious for two and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Lots of info provided on the history of the Mill, where to go, etc. Noel was modest about having made everything - bed, doors, kitchen, windows! The weather was mixed so we got to experience both cosy nights in front of the gas stove and sitting on the bench on the river watching the wildlife with a book and glass of wine. Even had a dip. So peaceful, we felt in the middle of nowhere yet it was just a 10 min walk via the camp site to Brecon town for supplies and eating out couple of supermarkets, plenty of shops, restaurants, bars. Lovely walks along the Prom, river, and canal. Ask Noel for a peek inside the old mill as it's not open to the public - a fascinating step back in time. The camp site looks idyllic too - right on the river, peaceful, quiet, with areas for smaller camper vans and tents no motorhomes, caravans, groups, youngsters. All the facilities cleverly done in keeping with environment. Susie & Noel have thought of everything, and are perfect hosts too, leaving folk to enjoy their stay but there when needed, friendly and approachable. We felt very comfortable throughout. Looking forward to going back.
What a lovely campsite. Really very beautiful location and only a 3 minute drive in to the centre of Brecon. Owners were kind and thoughtful and I am already looking for an excuse to go back. Great valueRooms: 5/5
This is a beautiful small campground close to a river. The owner is very friendly, there are convenient washing and cleaning facilities. Walk into Brecon takes just 15 min. Safety: Safe Walkability: 15 min to town
