I've just done my first solo trip here at Newcourt farm campsite. Such a great spot to spend the day with a lovely view of the countryside. The facilities are pretty basic with showers that run off 50p.Location: 5/5
This is my first time camping and staying at the Newcourt Farm Campsite has given me an appreciation of what life in the great outdoors looks like. This place is very idyllic. You can pitch on top of the hill and enjoy great views. The sounds of the birds and the sheep are lovely to wake up to. If it’s too hot, there are tall shady trees you can walk under. If I could say one thing, it would be: Forget the luxuries of a hotel and come and live in the luxury of nature.
David is an amazing host, but this is not a commercial campsite so if your expecting loads of showers, totally flat fields, bars and entertainment and shop on site then don t go . If you want amazing views beautiful sunrises & sunsets, fresh air and out of this world starry skies, the only sounds are birds singing and sheep calling their lambs, plenty of fresh water really clean toilets and a couple of showers Go Go Go. No cash taken so pre book or take cash & showers are 50p. We took are camper van and found a flat spot but David does has levellers if needed and will help you out if needed but remember it's a basic site x
Potential to be a lovely campsite in summer months, field was very waterlogged and we were informed of this on arrival and pointed to safe locations for our van. Lovely seperate area for DofE. Advertised as having showers but when we visited they were drained down for the winter, no signs warning of this on the showers. We paid the 50p only for nothing to happen. No refund offered for the wasted shower money either.
Very nice place also not too bad for wc/shower standard for the price cheap camping basically amazing location high recommended Nearby activities: waterfall, two castles
10/10 . David is a great host and keeps an excellent tidy campsite with a great deal on offer for DofE participants and their staff. Great undercover shelter for those early expeditions.Rooms: 5/5
Lovely rural site. Fantastic views, elevated position. Very friendly owner. If you want no frills on a genuine farm this is a great site. Dog friendlyLocation: 5/5
Really nice campsite in a quiet location. Basic shower and toilets, but amazing views.Service: 5/5
No toilets, just porta potties but overall really nice with a stunning viewRooms: 4/5
After a slightly scary drive up the final 300 yards or so in our motorhome, we were welcomed by a friendly and helpful receptionist. The site wasn't too level but we quickly found somewhere suitable. We arrived on Friday lunchtime and it was quiet but soon filled out, but still not too busy. The view was stunning! The toilets were OK but possibly due a refurbishment. Will definitely come again. Really good value.
