Lovely facilities. We only used the studio pool for the babies but they had all the floats out ready for them to have a lovely session. There was plenty of child changing so no stressing about finding somewhere to change baby. Lovely and clean and very helpful staff
Nice swimming pool with plenty lane swimming and free swimming space. Staff are very polite and respectful, and there’s always plenty staff around the pool and changing rooms mopping floors etc so the area is clean and safe.nIt’s a reasonable price to swim at £4.60 and there’s plenty time for free swimming throughout the day, and parking is free too although the car park is small and quite busy. The showers are nice and warm but there’s not enough private showers with doors for a mixed changing room and that lets the centre down in my opinion otherwise I would have given it full marks.
The absolute worst. Gym is far too small for the amount of people that use it, the family swims sessions you have to queue for an hour in advance for a 45 minute session, the staff on the reception are absolutely no help at all.
WV Active Swim Lessons – Extremely Disappointed and ConcernednI enrolled my 5-year-old daughter in swim lessons at WV Active, and after 8 weeks, there has been no improvement. As a beginner, she needed hands-on support and encouragement. Instead, instructors remained outside the pool shouting commands like “kick, kick,” which only frightened and confused her.nOne instructor in particular, Charlotte, was especially rude and unprofessional. She told my daughter she was “not fit to listen”—an unacceptable and hurtful comment to make to a child. My daughter has been scared from day one because she was put in the water without proper guidance or support. This isn’t just poor training—it’s irresponsible.nWhat’s worse, there seemed to be a clear lack of patience and what I strongly felt was discriminatory behavior. I will be taking proper action regarding Charlotte’s behavior, as no child should be treated this way in a learning environment.nI do not recommend WV Active to any parent looking for a safe and supportive place for their child to learn to swim.
Excellent modern gym. Set up for Hyrox training. Very reasonable pricing good classes
