Our choice of Gym. Love to swim here. Gym is well laid out since the revamp. Squash courts, tennis and badminton, yoga, spin, you name it, they got it. Can be very busy at 5pm and Mondays, just like all gyms I guess.nWe do a class with Jess and she is truly fantastic. Highly recommend you to try here. Very welcoming
Took my 2 year old son here for the Tots Swim and was incredibly impressed by the quantity of toys to play with. The changing rooms and swimming pools itself were very clean and tidy. Will definitely be returning!
Great facilities to use at the centre. I use the gym and regular user if the swimming pool on a weekend with mt daughter. Love the new gym refurb and so much better to exercise with the equipment. It's clean and tidy and still space to do some floor work around the centre. Great courts to hire for various sports at good costs. The pool is great however can sometimes be a bit cold for the little one. The studio pool is a bit warner and great when there's a tots session on. The changing facilities are usually fairly clean aswell as shower areas and toilets.
Discussed at the experience we have just received. Took my 6 year old swimming, on completing his 10th length a bald lifeguard decided my son wasn't a competent swimmer and told him to stay in the shallow end. That totally knocked his confidence and he didn't want to swim anymore. After I confronted the lifeguard they asked my son to do a swim test if he wanted to go in the deep end. He easily completed it and not a single apology from the lifeguard. When speaking to the manager after he said in front of my son that his stroke wasn't the best! My little boy was gutted and his confidence in swimming completely gone. The female lifeguard was lovely and more than fair.
I have been using the gym and pool at bert williams since last year. I've been attending the adult swimming classes and I'm really enjoying them. The swimming instructors sarah and Chris are really good. The gym is really good too especially since the refurbishment, the only down side is there is an arrogant and immature fitness instructor called Geoff Hall who speaks like the oldest chav in town but never mind every village has their idiot. He is also a personal trainer at the David Corfield gym in Shifnal , i wouldn't waste your money he is very ignorant and not a nice person. Everyone else is very friendly and professional.nThere isn't always space to park on the car park, and I've had to park elsewhere, but it's only a short walk, so it's not too bad. All in all it's a very good lesiure centre
