Communication between staff and departments is extremely poor. I was being treat for constipation opposed to labour despite my waters breaking at 33 weeks due to supposedly not contracting. I was given no pain relief and was undermined and made to feel stupid by Barbara a midwife that was working on M3 ward but usually is based on MAC. Barbara ruined my experience at Bradford and I will never forgive her nor the hospital for allowing my premature baby to be nearly born down the toilet. Despite being told I wasn’t in labour and given no pain relief my baby was born 25 hours after my waters went. Well done team BRI! Disgusting. However the labour ward team and neonatal team are amazing and I cannot thank both the nurses and doctors enough for what they have done for my little girl. Special mention to Kelly on ANDU, Dr Wallis and Emma Holmes on Neonatal and Caroline from the Outreach team!
I Gave Birth To My Beautiful Baby Girl Last Thursday Early Hours. Throughout my pregnancy I have been looked after from start to finish with many worries I have been reassured no matter how many times I went to hospital. The midwives that helped with my delivery was Iman and Beckah and Student Midwifes Chelsea and Claire. All 4 was absolutely wonderful from me being on the Mat Ward-Induction-Labour Ward I had fantastic care and my baby had the best care when she arrived. They even made sure my partner was okay which was very important to me. From the moment I stepped in to leaving it was just a lovely place and we was well looked after so thank you my first baby is absolutely beautiful and I will never forget the experience I had.
Went to vist my daughter and new grandson..we was told to leave because of the 3 to a bed rule..that's fine but she was very rude and escorted us of the ward. Was made to feel like a criminal..the horrible nurse has ruined a special moment.. yet some patients had more than 3 visitors and was not asked to leave..disgusting!!! One rule for one and another rule for others..
Massive THANK YOU! to all the staff here who looked after me & my newborn very well. You guys are absolutely amazing!nnA very Special thanks to Emma , florennel apologies for wrong spelling & student midwife ashleigh in labour ward. We really appreciate all the help, support & guidance you gave throughout. we felt so safe in your care. God bless you all.
There is such a wonderful team at BRI women’s and newborn unit, every single person I came into contact with during my stay here for birthing my son was so warm and caring.nEveryone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and every step of the journey was explained to me and my husband so well.nnI didn’t quite get the water birth I had planned due to my waters breaking and labour not progressing on its own for two days after, but I have a happy healthy boy and I wouldn’t change the birth experience at all.nnAlso while I could list names for days of all of the wonderful staff I came into contact with and helped me; Foranelle/Floranelle I’m unsure of the spelling I apologise! you were an absolute angel thank you, from being there during the induction process to literally holding my hand and guiding me in theatre for the forceps delivery and afterwards in recovery, I felt so safe in your hands. This is truly the career of your calling.
