I believe this surgery urgently needs to reconsider the performance and conduct of its reception team. It’s not just one individual—several of them consistently behave as though they own the place, judging by the way they speak to patients both in person and over the phone.nnInitially, I thought it might just be my experience, but after further interactions and speaking with others, it’s clear that this is a broader issue. Some of the receptionists come across as entitled, making inappropriate judgments about patients’ health based purely on how someone sounds or what little information is provided at the front desk. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.nnI strongly urge management to implement empathy and communication training for all reception staff. The tone and attitude currently displayed are not only unhelpful—they’re harmful, especially for individuals already feeling vulnerable.nnI also hope management regularly reviews recorded calls, as I’m confident they would reveal just how poorly some staff members treat patients. A dedicated training day and a serious reassessment of staff conduct are overdue. This reflects very poorly on the overall management of the surgery.
Busy on the phone lines on Tuesday so i went on the Patchs system and left my details.I received a phone call within a couple of hours and was booked in the same day at 3.30pm.Very pleased with the overall service.Always pleasant staff on Reception and the Doctor was exceptional.Saved me a tri to BRI and a wait of 5 + hours.nThank you Moorside Surgery.nKeep up the good work.
my partner taken our daughter as her and the little one are registered there. I've just spoken to mum now to see what the doctor said about the condition my little girl went for. and mum said all was fine but she asked the doctor if she could look at something else which was in the same area and would of maybe taken 5 minutes to diagnose. anyway the doctor said no you'll have to make another appointment. what is it with half these doctors now days they put profits before people.
Called Monday morning at 8am. I was 16th in the queue but only had to wait about 5 minutes to speak to a receptionist. Receptionist was friendly & polite and I was given an appointment at 8.30. Very happy with surgery and how quickly my call was answered & that I got an appointment to see a doctor as I was expecting a phone call appointment instead!
Thank you so much to the receptionist I liaised with this afternoon alongside Nurse Maney who both went above and beyond to ensure my son was seen despite me accidentally missing my appointment time. I really appreciate it
