We chose this place to celebrate our son’s 30th birthday. All was well, we had paid for our meal, a carvery and drinks. We waited in the queue as instructed, but after a lengthy wait, were informed that the restaurant had run out of meat. After another wait, we were offered alternative meals from the regular menu, so we made the best of a bad do and re ordered only to be informed that one of the meals we ordered was not available. We had been very patient until most of the staff just started apportioned blame and stated that they only did what they were told even knowing that it would fail. The only reason we didn’t complain was the waitress Julia somehow managed to save the situation. Very good customer care. To be honest, we wouldn’t go there again.
Well my granddaughter was poorly on her birthday so as soon as she was better we decided to go and have a birthday meal out. I told Julia and Bethany it was my Sophie’s Birthday and they went above and beyond to make it a special birthday for her. Wow so very rare these days to get such a warm and friendly approach. But these two lovely ladies made it really special. Can’t thank them enough.
The food and service was amazing. Nice clean and tidy pub. Irene Guest host came over and checked that we were happy with everything.
It was amazing food I was so impressed, we was greeted straight away, we was seated and I got a chicken tikka which was delicious and the cake slices you get for £5 are so so good it’s one of the nicest cakes I’ve eaten we got the birthday treats & mars attack so 2 courses for less then £20 can’t go wrong
I came here for mother's day when I made the booking online it was for the family area but there wasn't any seats available in the area I booked, It was Bethany that was incharge of my booking and sent me an email stating she would put my family in the children play area. I placed my booking on the 16th of February and I put the deposit down for 7 people so provisions should of been made. The lady showed us to table 31 which was perfect for 7 people, we all left our belongings on the chairs and drinks on the table. We went for our carvery when we came back to our table the drinks had been moved to another table and our belongings had been moved. My son and daughter in law told me not to make a fuss so I didn't say anything although I was disgusted that this other family had on purposely taken our seats. The other adults that was due to arrive text me they was stuck in traffic, I told them the table we reserved in the family area wasnt available and another family has taken our table so they decided not to come as there was no where for them to sit. My other family members went elsewhere the point of this booking was so I could get my children and grandchildren together it was most disappointing. On my plate of standard carvery I only got 1 slice of Turkey and 1 slice of beef normally I get more than that in the past on a week day so I thought that was a bit small for a standard carvery. The food was nice and I would of got a cake away but the queue was too long so I didn't bother. I think next Mother's day I will go elsewhere. I do recommend this place but on a week day when it's not so busy. I have added photos of myself and my grandchildren enjoying their meal, their mum and dad my children didn't want to be in the photos.
