"The Wingfield Farm is located in Hessle We’ve got something for absolutely everyone at Farmhouse Inns, whether that’s our freshly prepared carvery, comforting, much-loved classics, great-value breakfasts or dedicated menu for kids – it’s all guaranteed to please. Not to mention our huge, hand-decorated cakes and unrivalled baked puddings. We’re as big on quality as we are with our portions, which is why we slow-roast our meats for 14-hours, freshly prepare our veg, create fluffy, handmade Yorkies, ruffle-up our perfectly crispy roast potatoes, and bake and hand-decorate our giant cakes in our kitchen every day. So, you know you’re always getting a generous plate of proper food when you visit us at Wingfield Farm"

Despite not being convenient, this is our regular Sunday carvery place. The food is always fantastic, the meat is served in decent portions, and for the two of us, we can do it for under £40 with a couple of beers. It is frequently very very busy though. I can acknowledge we're going on a Sunday lunch time, so we expect the crowds, but on a 12 o'clock table, you can expect to wait for thirty minutes in the long line, and that's after you've spent fifteen minutes waiting at the bar. It's worth it, but it does mean standing around dodging excited children for a while before you get to eat anything.nNot the section we sit in, but the family section seems equipped for the kids, whilst adult table bookings are at the other end of the restaurant, reducing some of the noise, which is appreciated. I find the music a little loud considering it's nearly always packed when we go.nStaff are always busy, so can lead to what some people might consider being dismissed, but you can see they're just trying to get their jobs done, so it's not a complaint.nIn addition, the cakes are great to take home and have nibbles of throughout the afternoon. The slices are quite large, but they've definitely been gradually shrinking as the price creeps up. Still a pretty good deal for the amount of cake you're getting. I've never had any of the ice cream, but the selection seems quite extensive.nOverall, we come back here consistently for our monthly carvery for the great food, which is what it's all about really!
We've always loved coming here for many many years. I bring my Mum and Dad here for mothers and fathers day every year.nThe food is always good quality, the service is good. But today we felt appreciated more then ever as a customer, by a lovely lady called Irene.. She has been here from the very start they opened the doors 8 years ago, and even told us a little history about the place. It's rare to find such good food and service these days, but i find the Greene King brand second to none. So if your passing through Hull, give Wingfield Farm a try you won't be disappointed
Another great lunch at Wingfield for us, it’s abit of a drive but so worth it. Lovely pub grub and generous portions. We find this a child friendly place, with a small play area it keeps our toddler pleased. Our little girl had a slip and banged her head today, our server Julia was brilliant. So attentive and really tried to help calm her down. Went out of her way for us more than once. Desserts here are to die for, huge and delicious! Prices here are very affordable especially for what you get. It’s nice to sit outside in the warm weather too with our dog, it’s a shame they don’t have a dedicated space indoor which is dog friendly; we would use Wingfield even more if it did. Overall, brilliant place to eat.
Food was lovely. Irene, our guest host, was nice, friendly and approachable. Eyes definitely bigger than our stomach! Had to get a to-go box!nnOnly negative thing was we couldn't get the air-conditioning turned down or off! It got cold quickly!
Our first visit to Wingfield farm and it won't be our last. We choose the carvery and it was fantastic was a choice of 4 meats and plenty of extras.Everything was nicely cooked. We was looked after by a fantastic lady called Irene who was a credit to Wingfield farm she went above and beyond with her friendly well mannered service. We could tell how much Wingfield farm meant to her. She explained it was coming up to its 8th birthday and gave my daughter a little party bag which was another nice touch. Only downside was finding a parking space, But that's probably because it was a bank holiday weekend and the pub is very popular. We'll be back. Thanks to all a Wingfield farm for great food and service
